Right...everyone knows you read it 3 times, spent 30 minutes trying to come up with a response, then concluded your best course of action is to try to avert attention from something that definately isn't too long.

Unfortunate that you forced me to begin my hsnl inclusion with a pissing contest...but my post was reasonable, and facilitates learning...figured that's what this forum is about...you're getting in my way and op's, while trying to defend....op?!....or something, not even sure what your goal is.

Doesn't matter, please stop wasting both of our time, go make your $3/hand, and let some of us lower poker beings educate ourselves and perhaps some day reach the level of "poker12".

poker12, what is your problem? If you don't like the strategy discussion, then leave the thread. Or, are you trying to save this thread? If so, what would you like to discuss in this thread?

Somnius's posts were good. Even though he posted a 3/6 hand, it was on point. If you really "dont care", then please allow the thread to proceed.

Back to the topic--on your hand, after some thinking, I think I flat 78ss there too for the same reasons. We are almost getting direct odds to call (15 outs ~ 30% equity) and we could be good some of the time. Raising MIGHT fold out a JJ-type hand, but I think that flatting and reevaluating river is a better line for sure. As played, a jam on us is just gross.

Yeah, my default in your hand is to call. If I do raise, it's because:

1. I think my opponent will fold a lot of better hands; or
2. I think my opponent will jam worse hands (like flush draws with no pair; if I truely believe this, then I'll raise and snap call his jam.

However, I have to have a specific reason for believing one of the two above reasons. If I don't have a specific reason, I'll usually just call. By calling, I know I have some good +EV. By raising, it's more uncertain.

Re: MSNL player taking another shot

Ya I originally raised for reason 2 above, but all in all, probably best to just flat these then.

thanks
