Hello
I am planning to move to Macau to grind HKD 50/100 and 100/200 nlh games
and not sure how to tackle the immigration issue when I going to play poker over there.
I have a passport that requires a visa and only allows me to stay there for 14 days at a time.

I appreciate this is not an immigration forum but I would like to hear from pro's who have moved to macau purely for poker.
I have read most of the info regarding the visa categories but I dont see myself fitting into any of those categories being a poker player.

thanks in advance

Because games are **** there, and you have many distractions. Pits, sauna for women etc etc. Even he's good enough to beat the games I think it would be a better choice to stay in Europe or head to LA

no one should move to macau for 50/100 or even 100/200hkd, you're definitely better off in other cities and macau is a awful place to live.

better to do something like live in Manilla that has live games, go to Macau sometimes and grind 24/7 while you're there then leave and go somewhere more relaxing to actually live.

and yeah, agree with the above poster, if you actually live in macau there is nothing to do but gamble and go to saunas(brothels)

The irony.

Everything you have said is subjective and based solely upon your own bias. You have no idea who OP is, maybe he has family there?

If he has a family there he wouldn't be asking the questions he did

Apart from lifestyle I would be interested to know about 50/100 and 100/200 games from someone who has recently been there as a lot of info on internet seems outdated.

Has someone been to Manilla, what stakes do they play there ?

They are very tough. Esp the Wynn. Venetian n cod are prob beatable but they don't run much higher games or often enough, and fwiw I think rake is capped at 200 at the Venetian. Can't speak much for the new room Galaxy. As for Manila, I think they might have more action at Lower stakes and high stakes, not so much for mid stakes

25/50+ at the bellagio. Prob 5/10+ for stars. 200/400 and 300/600 runs almost Everyday at the wynn

Wynn:
25/50 beatable, 50/100 and any stakes higher there are some of the toughest games around.

Venetian :
rake is 250hkd for 25/50

rake is 500hkd for any limits higher than that

100/200 runs about 5 nights a week

Manila (COD / Solaire / Resorts World):
games are either 25/50php or 100/200php
50/100php doesnt run often and if it does, it breaks because either you can afford to play bigger (100/200) or you can't because you are , or in this case, most locals are broke.

Metro card club as I've been told runs 10/20php which most locals play

Action in Manila is good , but the problem is the stakes are so friggin small

As far as I am aware people from the UK (that also includes London) can stay up to 6 months at once in Macau WITHOUT a visa.

Hence a very valid question...

It will be near impossible to get a long term visa for Macau with a Pakistani passport. What you however could do and try (not sure if it works, ask the embassy about what visa you can get for Macau). Go to the Chinese embassy in London, apply for a multiple visa entry visa for Macau and Hong Kong. Then leave every 14 days to Hong Kong for a visa run.
If this does not work, apply for multiple entry into Macau and single into Hong Kong. Then you at least have 28 days.. Or apply for a multiple entry visa for China and cross the border to Zhuhai and turn around. With multiple entry visa into China you can do 42 days. This obviously all comes down whether you can get a multiple entry visa for Macau in the first place.

So most professionals are using in-game randomizers? Wonder what's most popular live.
