If he was the owner/scammer/etc why would he send Doug money in the first place?

Why won't Doug pay Blewjob his money? Why accept the money in the first place if you are just going to hold onto it and lawyer up?

This is just speculating but there certainly are plausible answers to that.

To make it seem like a legitimate transaction sending funds to a player. If the owner sends funds from his insolvent business to himself he has to pay up when it goes in liquidation.

It could be that Doug wasn't aware of the scam when he accepted the transfer but was when he was supposed to transfer it. I say scam because Jay blatantly ignoring the repeated question about the logs Skype makes it very clear he knows very well he's done something shady which he can't reasonably explain.

It's not about Blewjobs money here btw. The money is requested by Jay and Jay supposedly already settled with Blewjob. The whole Blewjob thing might very well be just another cover-up.

He probably just told people he was the owner to draw traffic to the site. Honestly I'm open to discussion but if pokerone paid out more than the other skins did I think it should be a mute point

We don't know because he ignores the issue. I appreciate your honesty, but which other skins are you even talking about? Besides that when you're greedy enough to claim to be an owner for some affiliate $ you should take responsibility when things go wrong. Jay takes 0 responsibility and all he tries is to squeeze even more $ out of this insolvent business (which won't go to the real victims).

Seems like an affiliate who was friendly with the owners might say something stupid like that he was "part owner" to make himself seem more official or because he thought it sounded cool.

Not sure why i'm posting, or why anyone else is posting itt anymore tbh. Doug retained an attorney, it's going to arbitration if anything so who the hell cares

Could be, but a scammer is no less a scammer if he just wanted to sound cool.

Cliffs anyone?

This is my understanding (possibly not accurate):

-Doug met this guy Jay
-jay is from ny, guys. Umm what else you need to know? He says he's part owner to get peeps playin
-jay from ny hooked Doug up and vouched for (obv legit obv) pokerone
-Doug and his boys played on pokerone
- SURPRISE, pokerone be scammin yo
-Doug wants his money back and Jay (from ny) be like this weird Chinese guy has it
-Chinese guy say "JAY FROM NY OWNER HE HAS MONEY"
-Jay says he's not owner, as it turns out. (Whether he is from ny or not is TBC)
-Doug and boys, missing more than 47k, decides not to give jay it
-Jay is like OMFG and says Doug be scammin
-shenanigans

Feedback?

Though there's a few assumptions in that it seems pretty spot on.

You missed the part where he claims bringing in winning players will offset how much the losers are losing (which makes no sense) and that who knows how many people were playing on credit.

It offsets the losers if jay keeps some of the money in the winners' accounts

From what I have gathered didn't he accept a transfer and pay out some money then in December when they tried to get the rest he refused? I'm not sure if it states when the money was transferred but I'm assuming he had it for a few weeks or more from the way it sounds (I could be wrong).

Also hasn't Blewjob been around a while and have a pretty good rep? Seems odd to risk that getting involved in some sort of scam/cover up?

I think ultimately Jay looks bad because he keeps ignoring the skype logs and the whole "unstable internet connection" is such BS when we are in 2014. Yes I understand that not everywhere in the world has fancy wifi and such but I also understand that if you had an issue this important you could find a stable internet connection to keep up with this thread. In the rare case that you are on Safari on have no access to any internet he shouldn't have made the thread but since he has replied many times since the OP I think we all know he isn't on a Safari with no internet connection.

What does it matter if pokerone paid out more or less? They are their own skin. How does comparing them to other skins factor into anything.

From my understanding over the years, Skins on the Merge cashier have always paid. Some people may have gotten screwed from Lock but when they switched from Merge to Rev balances were always available. People who waited to withdraw for a long time prob got screwed

Pokerone was not on the merge cashier and still owe a ton of money so how is it even possible that they could have paid more?

Just a side point Jay, you're very friendly with BlewJobs too correct? And have done numerous trades on 2+2 under his merge sn (not just under your own)?

Yes, he has done quite a few trades thru my Merge screen names because I had accounts on skins that he could not open. If you remember correctly, players from New York could not create Merge accounts after a certain date.

I have no financial gain whatever way this ends up going. I just chime in here and there to try and clear up confusion, which there is a lot of in this thread, because I am very familiar with both sides of the story.

You have no financial gain yet you're the one he is trying to get paid by Doug?

I was the biggest affiliate on P1 and the biggest winner on all of Merge the past few years. Seems pretty reasonable that I would be owed from this whole mess.
