Re: Ipoker blocked account

Just wanted to give this thread a bump so more people see it. I just found this as I was considering depositing to a few sites including ipoker again after I haven't played there for a few years but in the light of this thread I'll take down ipoker from my list.

Re: Ipoker blocked account

The op and other guy who's didn't get his money haven't posted in a while, seems abit odd they wouldn't do more to make this more public. Can we get a follow up op? Also shouldn't a Willhill rep come in this thread?

maybe grunching, but WH doesn't own 71% of Playtech - they own 71% of William Hill Online with Playtech owning the rest.

The way WH/Ipoker is handing this is unbelievably atrocious and bordering on UB-esque. I think that such a thread needs to get cross posted to NVG soon if they don't get their act together because everyone needs to know just how shady of an operation they are running.

Hills is basically an institution in the UK, they are a public trading company http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=WMH.L -its not some mickey mouse 2bit poker site owned and run by cheaters and criminals like UB. However I do 100% agree it looks borderline UB-esq and they have made a bad decision to partner with ipoker, who do have criminals and shady individuals involved, so I guess anything is possible and Hills are trying to cover it up.

But at Hills I can assure you some director of that particular company (not ipoker as a whole) wouldnt cheat players out of their money.

It does seem that they have beyond ****ed up though and they need to give the players their money or offer a decent explanation why they arent/give evidence that suggests the op etc dont deserve it (were chipdumping etc).

I swear if they ever pulled this **** on me I'd have a lawyer's letter sent the next ****ing day. And I'd turn up at their HQ with my lawyer.

I agree its most def worrying and likely they dont have a clue what to do.

Also 100% should be xposted in NVG.

Don't expect the moderators to read every post in every thread. Use the report button

Re: Ipoker blocked account

Looking at this now...cut us some slack, one of you guys could have easily PM'ed us too. I get ALOT of post report emails from 2p2.

What do you guys want? HSNL probably isn't the best place for this to get attention.

Okay, so I've skimmed some, this thread is entirely too disjointed to get much attention, regardless of the title. OP should create a very detailed post outline what he's done and the timeline. I can then pop that into the OP or he can create a new thread. OP, if you have an attorney, you should obviously consult them before you post details. :P

The thread would be way better in NVG or the Zoo probably.

An update was pretty much posted. Here is is. This was already asked early to be moved to NVG. Title should be changed along with Xposted in NVG

sorry, i should have done an update for a long time. there is no particular reason why i did not, i was just kind of busy all the time.

anyways, i think its best to recap what happened so far:

shortly before christmas, a fish played me and tak1nfire on 100/200 hu @ ipoker network and lost about 450k to tak1nfire and 160k to me. he played very poorly, but still it was no chipdumping whatsoever.

in the followup WilliamHill (WH from now on, the skin of both tak1nfire and me) blocked and unblocked our accounts, investigating our role in that game.

finally they unblocked our accounts (meaning: they let us play again), but did not unfroze the winnings against xtremex. they said that a cyber crime police will investigate the case and we wont be allowed to withdraw that money till the investitation are finalised.

there has been nothing relevant from WH since then (so basically since the end of december)

what we have done:

we have complained to WH and ipoker several times (ipoker network didnt even bother to answer). after a while we both took lawyers. the lawyers filed a complaint at the regulatory of WH. the regulator said that they are content about how WH is dealing with the case and investigation results have to be seen before any decision about the money can be made.

i will soon get an update by the regulatory, but so far the complaint did not bring any positive results for me.

of course, i will take legal actions against WH if they should decide not to give me the money.

here are a few facts, which are very important to notice:

- xtremex7x also played other players and they were allowed to withdraw the money (smaller amounts though). all of them played on other skins than WH. this seems very unfair to me and i cannot see how ipoker is allowing that to happen

- the skin of xtremex7x (offsidebet) sent legal letters to the other skins involved and threatened to sue them, if they should pay out their players. all skins except WH ignored those letters (thinking there is no legal basis) and thus paid out the players. WH fears to pay the players AND having to pay back to offsidebet.

- there were similar cases in the past and ipoker decided that the skins are responsible, unless the winning player was part of a fraud (i am not and i can prove it. wh does not suspect me to be part of a fraud anyways)

most importantly:

- i have done nothing against terms and conditions of WH/ipoker and still i suffer a lot of damage. i understand that xtremex7x very likely breached the terms when depositing money, but that is nothing i am responsible of.
it is impossible for such a fraud to take place, if the site is working properly. it is (to my knowledge) impossible to deposit 700k without any playing history and any verification on stars and then donk it off. in fact, this cannot be possible on any serious site.

offsidebet is CLEARLY to be made responsible of that mistake and if they cannot cover the damage, ipoker has to do so. it is simply not acceptable to allow a situation in which winning players have to come up for the mistakes of poker sites.

in the meantime, i had to spend time on this case, get a lawyer etc. etc.

(not to mention i played that guy 8hours for nothing if i dont get the money and risked being part of a negative freeroll)

if WH is not paying me out, ipoker should accept the reality of not being able to guarantee regular highstakes poker and should shut down highstakes poker tables.

if you have suggestions/questions, i will come to this thread more regularly again.
