I would say that constitutes at least half of all fish.
They will most likely just buy in at a lower stakes instead.

Would you prefer to play a 60bb fish at 5/10 or a 100bb fish at 3/6?

All of these greedy regs are going to go where the action is. The sites need to allow "clear and fair" options. If shortstacking ratholers want their own tables then what is the problem? How about tables for everyone?

All of the fullstacking non ratholing regs can have whatever tables they want added but there is no reason to remove the original 20 BB 30 minute tables imo. We will then see what happens on an even playing field. The regs that are arguing for the changes are basically saying make the tables how I want it because it suits my game better. They are not worried about anything but that.

So ya make all the additions you want but imo they need to keep what they already have as well. Then we will see where all the action ends up. No I am not a shortstacker nor ratholer. Nor do I use a HUD but you don't see me lobbying for the removal of those...
This seems wise.

Sorry for you that the opponents you want to play would rather sit at a 20 BB table. I have a hard time feeling bad for an online cash game pro tbh. I feel like the people who are really lobbying for all these changes are mostly winning players anyway and feel like they could be making more if things were changed in their favor.

Again I reiterate. Make all the additions you want but do not remove the original tables and let the people choose what they want to play.

You know damn well the all of these regs are going to still bumhunt and if that involves them going to a 20 BB table to do it they will. They are only thinking of themselves here and are trying to corner the market of fish in cash games in online poker.

They are threatening to leave pokerstars if they don't tailor the table structures to just what they think is best for them. I doubt Stars goes broke(lol) if they follow through on the threats(which I doubt they would anyway.)
FWIW, I did a count at like 4pm CT a couple days ago of the 9-max P/NL25 tables on Pokerstars, counting only those with either 8 or 9 seated.
--456 tables
----384 of them were 20bb-min (84.21%)
----72 of them were 50bb-min (15.79%)
People are voting with their feet. If you make a middle category of 35bb-min I'm guessing it will just be like 80-10-10, cutting into the 50bb game, which is the opposite effect of what the pro-raise-the-buyin folks want.

Mid-April approaches, and with it the announcement and implementation of the final decision.

Thank you all for your input, it is appreciated.

60 bb at 5/10.

the majority of pots don't involve full stacks

Re: Input requested: Ratholing timer in NLHE/PLO games at Pokerstars

I've read through a lot of this and jsut hear the same thing except why not go to contributed rake?

i can't remember what the exact numbers are but i'll make some easy ones up for an example.

1$ rake = 2VPP

basically every player that put money into THAT POT gets a % of the VPP given.

the % that they get is in direct proportion to the % of $ that they put in.

sb and bb both get AI and generate 2$ in rake so each one gets 2VPP and NO ONE else at the table gets anything from that pot.

this way nothing about the buyin or fathole timer have to change and SSing become a worthless strategy because no matter how much volume they put in they aren't generating enough VPPs to even get silver star. whereas everyone even all the low buyin fish are still getting what they put in.
