You think consulting with a lawyer in hopes of appealing the decision or negotating the lifting of the ban that affects his ability to earn an income should be put on hold, but that suing the guy for $2k in tribal court is something that should be acted on immediately?

I think some people have a warped sense of what an attorney would do. Many times attorneys are the best conduit between people. He doesn't have to take a hard line approach; actually, a hard line approach is probably the worst line he could take in this situation.

You need to talk to the people running the room at Mohegan and start getting more people to move over from FW. If they keep the 5/10 game going it's win win for E1 except FW. Let FW suffer for their incompetence

I totally understand the anger towards these guys, but I think having random forum guys give those two scumbags **** at this point isn't the best idea, if the rumor gets around HEK is rabble rousing in poker circles, against regulars who obviously have sway at Foxwoods, it's not gonna grease the wheels of his return, all it's going to do is make things harder, for a tiny bit of self satisfaction.

There's not going to be a "legal argument" to a judge here in all probability, but rather, as others have pointed out, a letter to the powers that be at FW asking for reinstatement.

There really is no "getting quick summary judgment" here, trust me. Sounds like 2L talk!

The most unfair thing here is that you relied to your detriment on the representation of the floor, and ended up getting banned for life because of it. Terrible.

Anyway, I'm very sorry to hear this happened, and hope you get reinstated asap, if that's what you want. This post really makes me look at the FW poker room with disgust. The people there can be so miserable

Did HEK ever explain if Frankie Flowers was found guilty of cheating? I see the guy at Foxwoods all the time. He seems to know everyone and is cool with everyone.

If Frankie Flowers did not cheat, I can understand why he's so mad at HEK for accusing him of cheating.

I think the OP's mistake was going up to Mr Flowers during a poker game and harassing him. To casino managers, they absolutely can't tolerate this regardless of the situation (which they might not really understand).

I agree that they have to react to situations like this and I suspect the OP would agree that going up to Freddy was not necessary, just a heat of the moment type thing.
This problem is Foxwoods is not telling him he's banned for harassing another player (do they life ban you for this anyway?), they are banning him for doing something a floor manager advised him on that is actually against the rules of conduct in the poker room.

I wouldn't expect the guy to act perfect under such a situation but I think as far as reasonable reactions (especially considering how immature poker players can be) this guy is a pretty stand up act.

I like Foxwoods and all but it seems they stumbled here and thats even more disappointing considering how important poker is to the OP.

I am no lawyer, but I doubt that there is any legal way that you can force FW to re-instate you. It is the right of any private organization to refuse service to anyone they choose regardelss of the reason.

I think it sux that this happened to you, but I think your best bet is to pursue Mohegan attracting enough higher NL players for your game.

FW blows anyway...they treat all of their customers like ****e.

Lol, you don't know how casinos work do you. They can kick anybody out at anytime. There isn't anymore more legitamacy to banning somebody because they are winning too much then there is because of their race. Both in the vast majority of aspects in life are illegal. But in casinos they can refuse action for any reason, and there is no real recourse.

I seriosly doubt you could ban someone for being black. C'mon now. Wouldn't that be a violation of a brother's civil rights?

They can ban you for if they don't like your shoelaces, so they would because ugly shoelace wearers are not protected by law. Race is, so they could be sued if they they banned someone and used race as a reason.

More likely the official reason wouldn't be the real reason. That is why I think OP made it worse for himself by going up to Flowers during a poker game.
