it's okay, i know how defensive all you live players are...and fwiw, i dont ignore the way it is, but his post acts as if live players are so much better people and thats just laughable
My post was not indended to be an online player vs live player rant. You are way too touchy. I am sure that most online players who start playing live regularly figure out how things work and make friends in the right places.
I can also agree there a lot of socially pathetic live "pros" who never tip anoyone and are thoroughly unlikeable and disagreeable, and who constantly have rulings go against them and do not get action from the more aware live ones because of it.
The jist of my post was that the real reason OP is in the predicament he is in, has nothing to do with the incident at hand, or whether he is right or wrong. It is because he did not do the things away from the table to protect himself appropriately against these type of situations, which will come up eventually for most of us.
As far as the no toking at Foxwoods rule, that obviously complicates matters. I play in So Cal where floormen/floor managers walk around the room with their palms up collecting tokes, and a good toking regular is virtually bulletproof. I am guessing in this case it is even more important to be charismatic and ingratiate yourself with the powers that be, which will obviously be easier for people who are naturally more extroverted and charismatic. However, even if you are naturally a quiet introvert, you should still make an effort, especially if you are willing to make a public scene over a perceived injustice like OP, as there is nothing casinos dislike more than these kind of scenes for obvious reasons.
