This thread will be long forgotten in a month, his ban may stay in effect for ever if the wrong person gets pissed that he will not let this go and keeps bad mouthing everyone that has control over the ban. Also if everyone thinks the people that work in that poker room do not read these forums there crazy.
The Bellegio even banned Men the Master, he was even a draw to the poker room, people like to play people they see on TV, do you think this effected the Bellegio at all? I don't.
Like day one of Marketing 101 teaches that this thread is a bad for Foxwoods. Its a basic rule of business that to replace what you actively piss off one good customer, you have to recruit at least ten times as many new customers because they share their experiences with friends, relatives, etc. Customer acquisition is expensive.
Its not just losing $20K in rake, its the money they lose because 100 people read this thread and decide to spend $500 on a hotel, slots for the wife, dinner etc and generate their rake elsewhere because people read this thread and say "yikes, lets give the Mohegan Sun a try instead"
Yes, even that doesnt materially affect the bottom line of a company, but usually the same procedures and poor service that pisses off one person is pissing other people as well whether they are vocal about it like HEK or just badmouth Foxwoods to everyone they know. So multiply what I described above my the hundreds of other people they are pissing off. That affects the bottom line.
Good businesses notice this, assume that for every person complaining there may be ten other people that just keep their mouth shut, then work to review their customer service and rectify the situation if possible. Bad businesses don't and eventually damage themselves enough to die off.
Pretty basic stuff. A competent higher-up at Foxwoods that sees this thread and reads HEK's story and the other thoughts on Foxwoods being expressed is at least going to dig deeper into the situation, not brush it off as "its only one guy and it doesnt affect the bottom line". They may decide that HEK should be banned, but it will absolutely be revisited.
Its literally day one how to run a business stuff. I think I was first taught this back when I was in high school and being trained to run shifts at the local pizza chain part time. Its that basic
