I have a question about cash game pre flop bet sizing.

Say you are playing in a full ring live cash game, the stakes are descent, but the level of the players are generally low. You and the other players are playing on stacks of 100-300 BB`s.

The players will easily call a preflop raise of 10-15 BB`s and most often there will be a few limpers. If you raise 2-3 x BB, the result will be the same. 3-5 players call, and there will almost never be a 3-bet preflop.

How do you think is correct to play in such a game? Wait for premium hands and make as big preflop bets as possible? Or play a wider range with lower preflop bets? Other thoughts?

If you want to see a flop and the pot has already been raised, you would usually have to call a bet of 10-15 BB. How do you think it is correct to approach that situation? Fold mediocre hands and 3-bet strong hands? Limp in with mediocre hands and 3-bet strong hands? Other thoughts?

I would play a lot of hands passively preflop and my premiums agressively preflop.

sounds like an 11 handed 200nl game. play like a nit and collect your money.

How would you advise me to adjust as the stacks get deeper? Widen the range of hands that I play passively and still play my premiums hard pre-flop?

For example if I am playing an effective stack of 100 bb, should I fold any weak to medium hand and 3-bet or open with JJ-AA or AQ-AK?

If I am playing an effective stack of 500 bb, should I still play premiums as I do with a 100 bb stack pre-flop and more carefully post flop? As well as open or limp with small to medium pocket pairs and suited connectors/ suited semi-connectors?

Adjust your sizing to your hand strength and max out very high. Like Axs raises to 3bb, ATs raises to 10bb, AQ raises to 20bb, AK raises to 35bb against 2-5 limpers.

Play along nut-value hands for cheap, limping 54o hands behind. Then ram and jam postflop if you hit strong.

Don't raise small with robust hands. Mistake to open raise ATo or KJo in mid position against a limper when you know the pot will go multiway and a flopped pair is hard to play well. Those hands either limp as well or raise huge, but can't go too loose with the huge sizing, so usually limp.

That makes a lot of sense, I actually tried the tips you gave me in my last poker session with success.

I have previously read that you should not differ bet sizes based on hand strength, but I suppose that is more true in games with more skilled opponents and maybe more so in tournaments.
