There's a thread in NVG for those that would like to make bad live pro jokes, FTP comparisons, DN sucks for not doing a blog, etc etc. Please stop cluttering TT with this stuff.

I understand fantasy leagues are sometimes shaky and it takes people a while to pay, but that convo and just the "cash broke" thing baffles me. If I'm Erick Lindgren and I don't have mad $$$ in the bank I would feel like the biggest degenerate in the world... this dude has made sooo much cash.
not sure why you're so shocked. Did you see the card player pic of his wall in his house with all the tv's for his sports betting?

For people who bet w/ Erick, what was his reputation for collecting on debts he was owed? How quickly did he want his money?
03-03-2012 , 05:08 PM
just so im clear, u guys continued to allow a "fantasy fish" to keep entering, when it is known he doesnt pay quickly or at all, jus so u can make some money eh? lol sometimes i wonder how poker players are so good at one thing and so bad at others. this is like selling crack to a fiend but saying "yo i know u like this **** and i know u usually pay back, so here u go, crack on credit"

id be mad at myself for letting my greed get in the way of proper thinking. u dont extend credit to those who A) dont pay when they are supposed to B) give u the run around for small amts. The fact that this was well known about erick, suggests those who allowed him to continue entering, were just as much at fault as erick is.

to make it clear once again, u dont extend credit to ppl who dont pay. thats why visa doesnt allow broke ass, unemployed ****, to get credit cards and big credit lines. im sure if they did, the charges wud rack up most likely, and the interest would build, but what does it matter if the dude cant pay neways? would we not look at visa, and say "thats just bad business?" What was conducted here was bad business.

in the end, the fault lies ultimately everyone who allowed him in to their fantasy leagues, as it was ure own greed that allowed that to happen. i guess there really isnt ever anything that's "easy money" now is there?

i do hope everyone gets squared up eventually so good luck, but i have a feeling, this will sit and fester for months if not years.

This seems like a really good way to blow through money.

Spoiler:

Sponsorship Man 1: What do you guys think about sponsoring Edawg again for some upcoming tournents?

Sponsorship Man 2: Well I heard on 2p2 he was nigging people out of prop bets for lots of money. So I don't think we should right now until he pays $kill Game back.

Sponsorship Man 1: Oh wow! I had no idea Edawg was a nigg*r. Good idea to wait until he pays back on his nigged prop bets.

This is how you guys need to act torwards Erick Lindgren(AKA E-Dog)the scum that makes bets he cant cover. He had more then enoguh time. This isnt an IOU league.

Yo straight tell him just like this, Yo E Dog **** YOU PAY ME

PS-Karma is a biotch EX FT Team. Your all gonna get it in the end. All your money is ours you till you payback what you stole. I gurantee KARMA will hit you all!
As I'm couch potatoing it up surfing through this thread on my iPhone earlier today I'm watching Goodfellas and this scene literally just ended as I read this post... Pretty insane how that worked out imo... And I also think Edog should be given the benifit of the doubt FOR NOW, before he gets publicly crucified. That is all.

You could contact the state bar association where he practices. Although that could cause him to lose his best means to pay you back.

thanks ive actually never typed it or spelled it out, just assumed it was the obvious way to spell it, been using that word since 6th grade playing Spades though!

$kill make it as public as possible to whoever you know plain and simple and everyone should do the same that is owed money by this tv hero. Who cares if he has always paid up be it 8 months or 12 months later? That makes it ok? come on....I have a real false sense of reality if what he does is acceptable in the world we live in (poker/betting)

if i ever saw him playing a live tourney and i was owed a large sum or even the 2800 like interpleader, id make him so uncomfortable and everyone at his table uncomfortable to even be near him...gl all, next time i run into him i will gladly let him know about this 2p2 thread although im sure he does already.

I've played with E-Dog every year at at least one WSOP event since 2007. He's always had a too cool for school attitude and once kinda punked me by the way he responded to an honest-enough question I asked him at the table. (The question was "are you playing in the other tournament too?" which I asked after noticing he his presence at our table was pretty infrequent. He responded something sarcastic that made it seem like he thought my question was stupid).

Last year deep in Main Event I was at his table again. Someone asked him what he thought of FTP situation and he said something like, "I just wish they would pay the damn players already," as if to suggest that "they" and "him" were two clearly separate entities and that he's really "one of us" who is as frustrated about the situation as anyone even though he's been cashing in as a "Team Pro" since the beginning. That rubbed me the wrong way too so it's pretty funny to me now that apparently he owes FTP $4 million and fantasy sports participants several thousand.

He made me feel like a douche the first time I played with him back when I was a little star-struck by him, but I guess now he's the one who is a bit of a douche. Funny how that works out, huh "E-Dog"? Pay the damn players already.

I am morally outraged. This is ethically reprehensible. If you guys ever wished, hoped to be on the poker television broadcasts then you know how I too fell. E-dog appeared to be a really good-looking, nice, cool customer at the tables.

It's amazing to me that he was willing to throw everything in the proverbial toilet to feed his "need for speed" (sportsbetting action). It makes me wonder how many more dirty people are in poker industry. Am I the only one that worries about that?

Anyways, just really upset today. Having read this thread and NVG I must say the only people in poker I still respect are very few. Probably a lot of the players that are considered young guns. Who grew up in good families, who had opportunities in life besides cards, but made a successful career at it and chose to purse this profession despite having options. They are not the action junkies of E-dog and Phil Ivey. Both are drop-outs from high school and losers before being in the "right palce at the right time" and striking it rich.

I think Josiah said it best, "you can take the hood out the game, but you can't take the game out the hood".

This is accurate. I know alot of mid and high stakes players and almost every single one of them are intelligent, good guys who wouldn't struggle in life if poker all of a sudden disappeared. Lending money to guys who do well for them selves isn't a problem; you just have to be able to spot the degens who have no morals, like Erick.

LOL @ "the check's in the mail". Why don't people understand that lying just makes things worse? I can be OK with someone owing me money for a pretty decent amount of time if they just communicate honestly and make an effort. Blatant lying is just SOOO tilting though.
