Eh, maybe on a loan but these were fantasy leagues (with I assume some side betting going on as well week-to-week). When you sign up to play a 4-5 digit buyin Fantasy Football league you are expected to pay when the season is over (and, really, you have about 5 months during the season to get the money together). Sounds like no one in this case was trying to extend any credit to Lindgren and ended up being forced to do just that.

I have been emailing with him back and forth. Contemplating whether or not to post the conversation here. It's pretty tilting.
03-01-2012 , 03:38 PM
beyond tilting that he is playing LAPC

this is absurd on so many levels, I was in both 5ks (liveonloveboat) and I escrowed my buyins, I assume this is sidebets that weren't paid?

"Cash broke" is standard for Erick on not paying golf bets.

I think I should just post the whole convo, but I'll do it later and might email you first.

first of all lindgren is obviously not backed... he backs tons of ppl so probably has heaps tied up in makeup... if there is still communication don't see posting this as a good idea.

How long do you think they should wait? It's March, the regular season ended in December. Plus he had to know he was going to owe the money with several weeks left in the season.

Why continue to make bets with someone who takes that long to pay up?

How does he back all of these people if he's "cash broke"? I think you are assuming things.
03-01-2012 , 04:57 PM
Everyone is safely assuming his "cash broke" line is standard degen-I-don't-feel-like-paying-you bull****.
03-01-2012 , 04:59 PM
I am not assuming anything I know people he personally backs and by backing people and having make up out would be why he is "cash broke". if you are going to make a statement accusing me of assuming things, maybe you should at least have a clue what your talking about.

this obviously depends on what type of dialogue they are having. But, with communication on going i can't fathom how this could help the situation.q

I 100% disagree.

If Erick were someone who could just disappear and stop playing poker or anonymously do something else, I'd take forever to out him.

But Erick can't do that. He's a professional poker player, everyone knows him, and he has a reputation he has to care about at least a little bit. He can't just ignore a situation like this without repercussions.

Edit: I also don't understand what type of "dialogue" is something to give him more time for. It's been 3+ months. In the conversation with Interpleader he tells him several times he'll mail a check, he never does. Dialogue means nothing when you're being lied to. Are you supposed to give him more time because he's lying to you slightly less than he was lying before?

To still owe for your FFteam in march + a leap year day is totally douchy.

maybe negranu will do a vlog about this

How can he be cash broke while backing? Like, how does his horses actually buy in to tournaments?
03-01-2012 , 05:11 PM
and im sure everyone would love to see that convo. def curious to hear the reasons why he cant or isnt going to pay. if he won the bets im sure he would have collected by now and would be pissed if you guys claimed im "cash broke".

harsh reaction, no need to be so sensitive bro.... i was just illustrating i doubt he is any sort of broke, using your orig statement of backing "tons of people". He either has money or he doesn't. If he is any sort of broke, he isn't backing anyone, if he is backing people he has money. Was trying to point out the contradiction

What a crew of scumbags these guys turned out to be.
03-01-2012 , 05:34 PM
That's funny....I definitely saw him playing 10/20 sitting on what looked like 15k 2 weeks ago at oceans 11 in San Diego
