Erica sure knows how to pick em.

Can someone put a link to the Inissint thread?

The big question did he even set his lineup every week?
03-02-2012 , 04:27 PM
Lindgren should be eating ramen and living in a box until he has paid everyone back in full. I could see being a bit more understanding when he had X hundred thousand dollars coming in per month from FTP and it was a matter of waiting for your turn to get paid.

Chances are he wont liquidate assets. I mean why would he want to! He probably likes his house and his cars. It's not enough that he was gifted a few million a year from being in the right place at the right time and has apparently continually squandered it but now he is probably going to go broke chasing losses to pay people back who won't see a dime. Or he runs good and everyone will get paid but people probably shouldn't hold there breath waiting for that to happen.

This is of course all based on what his perceived financial situation is. If he happens to have a few mil in gold stored away and just needs to get around to taking some bars to the pawn shop so he can write some 3k cheques then I apologize for my assumptions.

There is a 2p2er who was pretty stone broke and owed 40-50k out from sports bets he shouldn't have made. He has far from the same reputation to uphold as Lindgren and I believe has paid back everyone in full a few hundred at a time while I'm sure taking a big hit to his standard of living.

I don't want to say everyone in poker is a scumbag since there are still some people who will do the right thing even under tough circumstances but the list of good guys seems to be a lot shorter these days.

Yes, he fought hard weekly and had the best team for a while in the biggest league, but got hit with injuries.

Pretty sad to see this, hopefully Erick pays people back ASAP at this point.

Is there a thread about MIke "Inissint" Glasser on 2+2? He was the commissioner of the league and sent everyone he owed a blanket email claiming to be broke, and unlike Erick, he won't even respond to phone calls or emails

+1

I always enjoyed watching him on tv. Thought he was fairly classy, and a good rep for the poker community.

He isn't nearly as bad as people are saying in this thread. Like KGB said, he had the best team in the biggest league for quite some time then just got brutalized by injuries.

I'm guessing he feels blindsided by this right now considering how in the past he's always paid in July. Its still possible that his plan was trying to delay payment out of inconvenience then trying to scam people. Now its Edog's chance to prove which it is. How he comes off in public long term hasn't been decided yet.

He can liquidate assets and pay back the $ and we can chalk it up to him trying not to have to inconvenience himself for as long as possible, and this will be all forgotten in a month, or he can welch and be considered a piece of **** human being and never get another sponsorship opportunity no matter what happens with US legislation etc.

+1 to what snaps said. His team in the 10k was very good at the end. I believe hes just waiting to receive money so he doesn't have to inconvenience himself in paying out. However, that really isn't an adequate excuse. I think he needs to explain and defend his non-committal actions. That email exchange is very similar to the ones I've had with him and it's been very frustrating to deal with.

Rumblings I would guess. Through the grape vine I heard a similar number.

Anyone know what kind of car(s) Erick drives? I'm looking to buy a nicer car sometime soon and am looking for a motivated seller

I agree.

It's one thing to say, "I'll put the check in the mail today"...then respond with "oh ****, I totally forgot man, I'll make sure to do it RIGHT NOW"

All this over $2,800 too. That's what is so crazy. It's one thing if it was $280K and he was waiting on a pending home sale (even though I agree 3 months is WAY too long). But $2,800...****, that's not even 1 buy in in the games he plays.

Obvious busto is obvious.

wiki claims over 8mil in tourney winnings + potentially massive FTP deal. Holy crap, where did the money go? Seems like a really scummy dude after that convo that was posted.

Did that scumbag Chino pay his debts after his Epic Poker League win?

Sad to hear, I"ve always respected him from the way he carried himself on tv and seemed like a down to earth guy in the media. I guess he became one of those guys that just lives too lavish a lifestyle and blew through all the cash. It is pretty sh*tty to play in cash games and tournaments with so many people waiting on you to pay out. Next Chino?

No chance, unless they've had a falling out we're not aware of. Negreanu likes to portray himself as some kind of white knight but in reality he sticks up for his mates and bashes people he doesn't get on with. As there are quite a few of the latter, and more than a few of them do happen to be scumbags, it looks good sometimes. But there's zero chance of him calling out his best mate.

Why would he be motivated when he could just not pay everyone back and keep the juicy 200k+ or whatever that he scammed? Poker's dead anyway, and I doubt sponsorships will even know that he nigged on a couple of prop bets
