Edog not only receives 2 million loan in which he would have been wrapped about but gets another 2 million cherry on top edog would have been doing hand stance lol.

One thing I don't believe I mentioned before that contradicts Daniel's thoughts on Edog a bit:

As the fantasy football season was winding down last year and Edog knew he had no income coming in and no way to pay his debts, he tried to bet more and more money, giving better and better odds. But I guess in Daniel's opinion, betting people with money you don't have and no income coming in, knowing you can't pay if you lose, isn't considered stealing, its just being an 'old school degenerate'.

Chances are he wont liquidate assets. I mean why would he want to! He probably likes his house and his cars. It's not enough that he was gifted a few million a year from being in the right place at the right time and has apparently continually squandered it but now he is probably going to go broke chasing losses to pay people back who won't see a dime. Or he runs good and everyone will get paid but people probably shouldn't hold there breath waiting for that to happen.

This is of course all based on what his perceived financial situation is. If he happens to have a few mil in gold stored away and just needs to get around to taking some bars to the pawn shop so he can write some 3k cheques then I apologize for my assumptions.

There is a 2p2er who was pretty stone broke and owed 40-50k out from sports bets he shouldn't have made. He has far from the same reputation to uphold as Lindgren and I believe has paid back everyone in full a few hundred at a time while I'm sure taking a big hit to his standard of living.

I don't want to say everyone in poker is a scumbag since there are still some people who will do the right thing even under tough circumstances but the list of good guys seems to be a lot shorter these days.
Wow, just hearing this story. Pretty sick. I'm the 2p2'er that owed 50k in debts and had no money and a ****ty job. Yeah, I'd say its time to start living the not so glamorous life and get this all paid back. I worked my ass off and lived a nightmare until i had everyone paid back in full. It feels reals good to make good on a huge blunder and feels even better to gain respect back. I didn't even have a reputation to uphold like he does. Just a sickening story to hear. Sorry everyone.

Very well done!! Wish more people in the community would learn to deal with their matters in a more mature way. Karma goes a long way...
Its 1 thing to make a mistake and run away and hide...
Its another to be a man and realized you have made a mistake and take amends for what needs to be done! Way to man up!

Last January, Lindgren sat down with his wife and came clean about the extent of his losses from football season.

“She knew most everything well in advance and then details of me going off last year, I kinda held back from her until basically everything came to light in January,” said Lindgren, who said everyday bills became tough to pay by late February, early March. “She knew we weren’t doing well at the time but she didn’t know it was that bad.”
and yet erica had the balls to tweet that #chillout tweet just a couple months later. what a douchebag bitch.

Now that he's made it public...Erik filed for bankruptcy. I don't think it's relevant whether or not he dodges peoples phone calls at this point; he'll either settle his debts eventually or not.

I think it would be in the best interests of Erik and everyone he owes to find an investor for the tournament circuit rather than bet sports and play cash games, but what can we do.
01-06-2013 , 03:38 AM
well fwiw, it's already been confirmed in the NVG thread that he lied about contacting everybody he owes money. some guy said he is owed a mid 5 figure amount and also that erick has his email+other contact info, yet he hasn't been contacted. i'd say it wouldn't be outlandish to think that he has a new number that people he would be dodging haven't been informed of. but yes, obviously he'll settle the debts or he won't. at the time i was just curious if he was being truthful. he wasn't.

He wents to a addiction camp for two weeks.. what has changed?

BTW gamblers anonymous first step is admitting the problem, the eventual step is stopping gambling altogether. I dont think Erick is up for that.

if you read the article it's pretty clear that he hasn't acknowledged his problem and that he's going to continue betting sports and playing cards.

what a complete idiot and grade a duechbag piece of **** on top of it.
hes most pissed at vulgaris and he's last on his payback list- gee i wonder why a guy who he probably owes more to than everyone else combined is the one most pissed at him.

There is somebody willing to stake Lindgren in sports betting. Wow, a sucker born every minute.

Randomly picking teams for bets would be +EV vs. his picks.

the more likely scenario is he is still gambling away in sports betting on his own dime but obviously cant do so without claiming that he has a backer, or else everyone would be hunting him down for their moneyz once they caught wind
01-10-2013 , 06:20 AM
"Which brings us back to Morningside Recovery. Lindgren wasn’t in rehab to cure him of gambling — that’s his day job and he knows he needs to continue to play poker and work in Las Vegas if he has any hope of paying all his debts and beginning the process of repairing his name."

lol gl guy

meh the more likely scenario is he is a "beard" or "mover" and merely placing bets for someone who can't get accounts as they're sharp and give eric a small free-roll for placing their picks.
