Clogged HU lobbies (and potentially 6max lobbies):

Having huge multiples of empty tables for every table that is running. This is a particular problem in the hu lobby where 30 times as many empty tables may be running as full tables.

Options:

(1) No Change

(2) Cap tables at half of current empty tables
-If there are X mean empty hu tables at a limit, divide that number by half

(3) Eliminate hu lobby altogether

(4) Eliminate hu lobby and add a 'request hu match' checkbox to the client, as well as a 'request hu' feature.
-Checkbox would go on the an open table next to the current 'sit out next bb' checkbox. If two players are sitting alone together at a 6m table, checking the box creates a private hu table.
-A further checkbox provides the option to add more tables.
-The 'request hu' feature would go under the 'requests' tab in the current client. If two players mutually requested hu a private table is made for them.

(5) King of the Hill
-Only one empty hu table per limit.

(6) Semi King of the Hill
-5 empty hu tables per limit

(7) Global hu lobby
-A madden-style hu lobby with matchmaking.

(8) Anonymous hu tables
-Screen names are blacked out.

(9) Rush Poker hu

(10) Rush poker hu with hand duration
-Random matchmaking, but with X hands played against the matched player.

I would like to add one option. Simply to allow only 2 empty hu tables per player across all stakes.

To clarify, it seems that "global lobby" means "KOTH but you can't see who's waiting".

I thought KOTH is smth like 5 emty tables/limit so I voted wrong. Semi KOTH is a way to go imo.

Semi-KOTH IMO. One player per empty table, infinite new tables created when a tables fill, and a check-box for 2 players already playing HU on a HU table to add another one.

The number of tables per limit should be flexible, such that Stars will monitor, evaluate, maybe hire a consultant (NoahSD?), to figure out what the optimal number is over time.

Either #4 or maybe what joeri said seem to be best option for health of games.

Imo the Madden Style/Global Lobby would be by far the best system, followed by Rush with minimum # of hands. If stars is willing to make changes as big as this it'd be amazing.

If not, either PS Steve's 20 hands idea or some form of KotH would improve the current state of HU games.

all is good as it is. SO NO CHANGES PLZ. koth or semikoth is just good for 1 or a few people. and the rest is ass kicked. and nobody would be able to paly hu other against the waiting players. this would also get buttoning even more attractiv if someone joins that you didn t want to play

I voted semi KOTH, as long as table reductions aren't too elitist

Why no option for just removing the short tables?
1 Table 20-200bb / stake would cut the number of tables in half.

2 Tables / Player encourages multiaccounting, so not sure it´s a great idea.

I would suggest the following:
1. Eliminate the short tables: make tables 20-200bbs.
2. Add request HU and private table features as suggested previously:

Rush HU with a minimum number of hands per opponent, with an option that if both players select it they can keep playing eachother(and of course add additional tables option for those players as well)
