How many hands does 44 dominate?? 3 I can think of and how many times does he show up with them in this situation? If you wanna gamble might as well call with 22+ and hope your only dodging six cards.

I like your commitment and persistence to try and convince people 22 and 44 have almost the exact same equity against a wide range. I think you are just a few more posts away from convincing everyone 22 is +ev. Keep at it until you drive the point home.

I posted above I wouldn't call with 22 or 44. I just really don't see why some people would call with 44 and not 22. A pair is a pair and pairs are tough to make heads up!

Re: 500-1000 hand

so you wouldn't care whether you had AA or 22 because a pair is a pair? From my experience AA tends to have better preflop equity than 22 against every range I have ever been up against. I think it's because an ace is the highest ranked card in the deck so having two of them makes a higher pair than any other pair you can get.

It's probably unproven theory, but this has led me to believe that if AA is better than 22 because it is a higher pair, maybe higher pairs are better than lower pairs in general. Because 44 is a higher pair than 22, it would fall into the "better than 22" category.

Now you have come a long with your, "pairs are hard to get" theory and totally debunked everything I believed up to this point so I have to review my position on pairs.

Re: 500-1000 hand

lol @ if 44 why not 22?

Obv the domination people are referring to is not just the obvious 44>33>22.
It's more about 44>[A-4],[3-4]. So, 42*6=252 more combos of hands we dominate than 22. Might not be exactly right but w/e.

I think I just got leveled into seriously answering a rhetorical question =(

You dont think he ships 22/33?
