Why show a card that makes up only 2 hands that beat you, an a ton that lose to you. it's more likely your gonna call if he is repping such a thin range. He was trying to level you into a call imo. He's pretty much saying "hey check out my little old 3, its not much right? call!"

But atleast you can confirm what his delayed check on flop, laughing to his buddy, other tells he gives off mean so in the future you can take all his monies.

fish generally don't show a card like that unless they really want a call.

This with the over bet it's a fold but than again it's a tough fold and if I wasn't thinking clearly i'd probably call.

Snap fold , it's just too obvious he's crying for a call

should have jammed

From my experience. Fish laughing and speaking in a confident way is not bluffing. In addition, showing the 3h is a sign he wants you to call, saying like hey i missed my flush draw. he got u here! i would fold and wait for a better spot. It sounds to me 5h3h. 3h4h would probably raise flop and/or bet turn.

OP please don't call others "fish" when you think the only value combo is 35s.

Easy fold.

Based on action in various streets he knows you have an Ace-decent kicker and wants to get paid off by suggesting a busted flush draw/possible Ace-low kicker.

From my experience hollywood in general is usually to rep the opposite of what the actor has. The guys who are taking it to the next level are far between and few.

Showing the 3h is a big red flag on this paired board; I wouldn't call a pot sized bet on the river and fold.

1st: i agree bet turn its not like hes folding ax often and a draw folds never.
2nd: hes simply not bluffing here. with a busted flushdraw he would bet 0.6 pot - pot to get ur weaker hands to fold. only vs real wales/maniacs/etc. i wouldnt read anything into the sizing. this is just a tell imo that he has a very strong hand. also u say hes a huge fish so why think like uh he wouldnt bluff here cause he knows he repps less combos and he wouldnt like to look like fool. thats just bs hes a donk and not even thinking 15% of all this ........and then his talking tells omg.

just call and move on. it's not an important spot in poker

i dont want to level myself here, but imo when he shows you 3h, i think he just has you beat so often with 34 35

i do think betting on the turn would have put you in a much less sick spot. your missing value against a lot of his range (worse aces, flush draws, straight draws, any pocket pair). It also gives you more information and lets you narrow down his range

I think a turn check is actually fine sometimes though I'm firing 80%+.

I would fold the river. You will get his money.

I would muck that **** with the quickness. Gotta be a value bet.
