Villain is a young, aggressive reg who plays pretty loose pre; sat down with 10K not long ago. I raise to 60 with 35ss from UTG+1 (2K behind), villain calls from BB. Flop 245r with one diamond. I bet 80, villain check raises to 240, I call. Turn 6d. Villain bets 360, I call. River 7d. Villain bets 700, I call.

Thoughts on all streets appreciated. 10/20, 7 handed. I thought about shoving turn but I think he bets larger with a set/2p on the turn. Also I think villain is likely to put me 99+ capable of folding to a large river bet hence why I want him to continue with his bluffs.

Post flop seems the standard and optimal line to me. Folding pre though.

for me is fine, the way you play the hand, i prefer to raise on the turn, so if he has a diamond draw he would take a serious bet to get there.

What hand he has ?

Pre flop is marginal at best.

Flop is fine, Turn is fine, river is fine.

You cannot fold river based on your turn play.

Turn could be raised, but i'm fine with calling especially vs an aggressive OP where your range is almost never a 35 and he probably puts you on TT+

Call flop turn river
I'd jam river with any 8 (68s which I would open +1)

Given we block the straight and top set, 5s doesn't show down brilliantly and the straight cards will often slow things down, isn't this a good candidate to make it $900 on the flop, and perhaps $2.4k on the turn?

Or do we have no flop 3 bet range to balance there?

It is very loose to open 35s from UTG+1. I would say borderline bad, but if you aren't getting 3bet enough, or at all - it can't be horrible.

flop is standard bet / call
Turn is a call - raise is fine but I like a call better
river is a call

we lose to pocket 8's and a random diamond hand

He could also have A3 which we chop with.

you have to play good to play 35s UTG and if you're doing it, I suspect you play well. I would put in a raise somewhere. You can get him off of one pair, especially Ax pairs and small to medium pairs up to 88/99. If he's tight, raise the flop. If he's loose, raise the turn. The only probably is what in your UTG hand range has a six in it. It's hard to rep the straight, but if you raise the flop, you can represent a big pair, a set, a funky two pair, etc.
