Wow, I thought that was a really cool post. Hopefully you guys don't get tied up on whether his morals are right or wrong. That was a great post on how to have the right mindset and win when gambling with people. I feel like my game just got a little better.

Great post...thanks limon...do you coach?

I've never seen Limon post anything unethical, I think he weighs some angles differently than others as I trust everyone does.

Having done business with him, I can vouch for him being trustworthy and a great coach.

He's 1 of the first people I check for new posts on 2+2, I've been looking forward to this one!

Hoping this turns into a Well?

What's the biggest downswing/break even stretch you've ever seen a big winner in the 10/20, 20/40 games endure?

yo limon what are your thoughts on secretly reducing your stack, "going south" or whatever, ever acceptable?
04-11-2009 , 10:12 AM
What have you done to diversify your finances?
04-11-2009 , 10:56 AM
wtf does the word limon have to do with Brother's Keeper?

thanks. hope all is well.

i think peopel are getting hung up on the holecard thing. the problem with telling them they are flashing is now they know i am looking and they are going to behave differently...i have given up all my groundwork and observation because they are making a mistake. i just cant do that, i work to hard to correlate thier actions to their holdings.

a few top players have broke even for an entire year. even bobby hoff was near broke a few years back. poker is a tough game you can never rest.

ive partnered in 1 real estate venture and 2 small businesses. i also own dividend paying stocks and 1 non dividend paying stock (brk.a).

i do stake people (rarely), count cards on my own and as part of a team in the past, invest in a sports betting corp., book sports bets and bet big on golf.

wp, he was the best. How do you know he spelled his name limon though, and how did they pronounce it?

If you liked brother's keeper you should check out berlinger / sinofsky's other docs. Paradise Lost is even better, imo (second one is ok too).

I'm confused as to why you seem to have a negative and snobbish attitude towards "online kids" when you yourself have won $1M+ over 1M+ hands of online poker..

Quote:
Long story short...ive been a host, a prop (live and on line)and played over a million hands at party 600nl+ at 5ptbb/100 (no big deal nowadays).
Now I play any game you can name any amount you can count (if I like it)…mostly what I like is 10-20nl at the commerce…
Or do you just feel as though you have mastered the online game, and then moved to the more difficult arena of B&M deepstacked cash games against whales, gypsies, and jades?

Sorry I'm just kind of confused as to what your general sentiment is towards the two different settings..

Citizen- He actually spelled it Lyman, but limon don't seem to give a shyt about propa spellin anyway, and if you have read his post throughout the past 8 years you will see that he is just a little different than the rest

limon- Anyone in person/on these boards that has helped shape the way you view the game and approach it both from the past when rising the ranks and in the present? Do you still get any of those 'ahha' moments from others?

i definately have not mastered the online game. in fact, the current on line game is more trouble than its worth imo.

online kids is just slang for these people who think that if you beat 1-2 on line then you can KILL 10-20 live which is just a joke. the 2 games arent remotely the same. i assume these people are kids becuase no adult with significant experience in both games would say such a thing.

Alright cool. Kinda figured that's what you were implying.
04-11-2009 , 12:52 PM
very cool original post. thanks.

i actually like sklansky. for some reason hes hated on his own site which i dont understand.

i get aha moments all the time. most arent related to holdem more omaha and 2-7.

in poker people are forced to respond to you when you ask them certain questions like "how deep are you". to other questions they are not forced to respond. im obsessed with what peoples responses or non responses mean and i get aha moments alot studying this.
