Another idiot who just knows everything. Doesn't know what wisdom or experience is though. Just knows that he knows enough to pigeon hole anybody at anytime because he's so smart.

I love my job. I don't even think about spending 9.95 .. it's of no consequence. A subscription is entirely different than spending $10. But I suspect you can't see that. It works the same as rake.

You're right, I've got nothing important to worry about. I'm not a wage slave - haven't been for over 10 years. My health isn't the best though ... back gives me problems ... need to exercise more. Getting old sucks! So, I do worry about my health. And the health of my friends - sometimes the financial health of friends - people just suck at managing money.

I don't think one ever loses a liking for whatever turns them on. But how it motivates one to do what they do changes. 'Killer with the ladies' is a young persons thing to say - I'm sure you're extremely worldly though.

It's a young persons world ... you'll figure that out when you're not young anymore.

I've played with David at a 2+2 event at the Hard Rock many years ago. I've also introduced myself to him at Balagio when he was taking a break and in the sports book. He wouldn't remember me from either. I've never met Mason. I suspect you think both these guys are too old to be relevant. I suspect you're wrong.

I get the feeling diceyplay is a massive nit at the tables who lobbies two hours for every ten minutes he plays and is hated by everyone at the table.

I re-read this ... now I understand what you're saying.

Here's the pm I sent you over a week ago:

--------------------------------------------------
Here's an idea ... you likely have enough friends and might have too many poker friends ... but

How about I take you and your lovely to dinner? You choose the location. I'd like to keep the whole thing below $150.

You don't know me ... I assure you I'm not a degen. But you still don't know me. May be we meet first - like at Philippes and I'll buy you a sandwich or whatever (I've never been there but I looked it up). Then you can decide if I'm worthy of being dinner company for you and your wife.

What's in it for me? Well, I've heard you on BH's podcasts and I've read you here. So, good company and picking your brain on some hold'em stuff.

And dinner too - I like dinner

Just a suggestion ... out of the ordinary is fun.
--------------------------------------------------

Yup, human psychology is strange. $150 is nothing to me (not a brag, it's just an amount of money I don't think about because it gets replaced by 1 day of passive income - whatever it means to me, I think it means less to limon) - well worth being able to talk to somebody who really knows their ****. $10/month - I have to think about that kind of a commitment. It's entirely different in principle to me. I'll buy you a meal if we ever do meet.

To be fair here - I'll publish limon's reply as I think it implies that he's a standup guy. Even though this public exchange is not enjoyable for me.

--------------------------------------------------
thats cool. my wife loathes poker talk so prob just me. lets hit taylors steakhouse. dont worry about paying for me. if you want to get the tip i wont stop you. lol.

I still have much to learn. Keep on teaching bro.

Just reread the whole thread for the first time in a while. Just so much great stuff with an added bonus of Abe essentially being spot on with all the things people called him an idiot for.

Seriously it has been said 1000x but I'll say it again this is an absolute must read for any live player and one of the best threads on the entire forum imo.

Oh yeah I had a question I thought of while reading the final part of the thread from the time in 2011/2012 when you were hosting PLO game and buying in for 100k. What made you go from buying in for 70bb until you knew exactly who you wanted to cover, to buying in for 10,000bb and covering everyone under all circumstances? Obviously I'm guessing you feel that none of the regs had a big edge on you and all that money enticed a good game but I was suprised to see you have an open invitation to have come people play that high PLO.

Did anyone ever buyin super deep and make you nervous? Biggest win/loss in the game. Finally, do you have that picture of you with all the racks that someone mentioned awhile ago. I think I saw it at one point it was you with like 100k in 100 dollar chips or something.

Before i started hosting the game at bike i was playing 20-40plo at commerce and usually buying in for less than 5k. When i told the commerce regs I was gonna host a game at bike they all said the game would be too small/shallow. I told them I would cover them no matter how much they bought in for. lol.

A few players bough in for 20k+ and the 5-5-10 game played huge because you could straddle any amount from any position. Nearly every pot was straddled to at least $20 often $50.

Before i go into any big session i try to internalize best and worst case scenarios so i dont let emotions effect decision making. I won 26k that day and theres a pic in chip porn somewhere of my 126k stack i think.

Is it the black and white picture of you with your feet up on the table texting on your phone next to racks and racks of chips?

Haven't seen it

the question is what actor are we getting to play limon, cuz hollywood would not allow limon to play limon LDO
