2 wrists, 2 ankles, no bracelets.

That needs to change.

Nice article by Jessica Welman concerning how well women are doing at the WSOP (so far) this year.

Here is a link to another good article about how the women are faring at the 2012 WSOP:

I believe Woman Poker Player had a good article as well.

Dr. Kamikaze was at my starting table today on day two of the razz WSOP tourney. She was second chip leader at the beginning of the day. Thanks for letting me know your TWSS name Dr. K.

Reading that just has me so psyched to go out there and play.

Sadly I'll just be playing the one event (the ME). It'll be a great day when a woman finally takes down the ME.

I had a gut feeling months ago girls were going to absolutley crush the WSOP this year. So glad I was right.

Got my Nevada plates in the mail today and have to share!!!

There's a thread in NVG asking for classic poker photos to be used in a documentary or something.. I think your pic might be good.. ;-)

Ill be the first to admit that her winning this event is a HUGE accomplishment but everyone is acting like the female non bracelet streak is over. The senior event is not an open event and i think it shouldnt count. Do you consider the person who wins the casino employees event a WSOP bracelet winner??? i know i dont!!

Not trying to tarnish her win but IMO the streak should still stand until a female wins an OPEN event.

I understand your point, but it is still a male-dominated event....with a huge field.

You must really hate the fact that the limited 48 player 1m event awards a bracelet.

This event is still open to everyone until the max is reached but i definately feel the player limit tarnishes the bracelet.

Congrats to Allyn Shulman who is the new WSOP Seniors World Champion. She set several records along the road to victory including winning the largest single entry day one tournament in the world (4,128 entrants) and winning the largest cash payout at the WSOP for a female. Well done Allyn!

The Seniors event had more runners than most of the "open" bracelet events that have already taken place. Does it diminish those bracelets bc there were 2000 ppl (or less) in those events?

So its about numbers and not quality??? i once won a 6000 person freeroll on pokerstars does that mean i accomplished more than Allyn did just because the freeroll i won had more runners??

The thing about seniors is that they tend to play a much less aggressive style than the younger generation and from what i have seen most (not all) women dont handle aggression at the poker tables very well.

Allyn won a huge tourney and had a great payday and represented all women and the Shulman family very well. Most people would tell you that the streak is over but im just stating my opinion that it should take winning an open event to end this streak.

One must admit with names like Ivey, Hellmuth, Jason Mercier, Elky, Mizrachi and many other top players not being allowed in this tourney the field is much softer.

This is the last thing im going to say about this topic because i dont want to seem disrespectful to women or Allyn. Allyn did great and also beat a tough final table for any event, open or not!!

What are your thoughts about the mega satellite to the ladies event at the golden nugget?

Seems kind of obscene to have it be $165 (includes dealer bonus) for $6000 chips and 20 minute levels. One $1070 winner plus entry to golden nugget ladies event per 10 entries. So basically almost 20% rake for a turbo.

Won my seat to the WSOP main event in a satellite last night at the Bike, so it looks like I'm coming to Vegas after all! After parlaying a $75 sat into a $1070 sat to a 10K seat, going deep in the ME should be a snap, right?

It's a bit late in the game, but hoping to sell a piece of myself off to play a few other things, like possibly the WSOP Ladies or a $1500 NL and cover some expenses. I'll try to put together some kind of coherent post in the staking forum, any suggestions on that would be appreciated.

This is my second time around in the Big Dance; I played in 2005 after being put in by Gaming Club after doing a promotion for them that I posted about on 2+2 back in the day. I sold a bit of myself off then too, but was probably a bit better known on the forum because I was more active then.

Looking forward to meeting many of you who are there, and coming to the meet ups.

Still really buzzed about getting the seat, probably take a day to sink in that it's real.

This is how Aussie women roll at the World Series:

We're all hoping back here that Jackie can take it down.

Go say hi to Jackie, she doesn't bite, and let's all hope she ships the bracelet.

OMG, congratulations! I'll see you at the big one then!

Wish I could have won a seat, but having relative strangers just hand me $7K to play (for a percentage of any cash, of course) is still sort of mind boggling. Even after explaining the concept to my Mom to convince her I wasn't insane, it still seems a bit surreal how common it is in the poker world for people over the computer to say, sure, I'll give you X amount of money, how would you like me to send it?
