Hello guys,

i'm living in France and having a full time job, not at all related to poker. Recently I got in touch with a coaching site, which offered me a contract to make videos in exchange, obviously, of money.

The question is actually pretty simple : do I have the right to sign this contract and make videos / money for the coaching site, or does it count as having a second job, which is forbidden in France ?

Thank you in advance.

you should ask a french lawyer not an international poker community.

But i would think the answer is this is not ok.

n France, it is common practice to state, within the service agreement, that the employee shall devote all his working time to the performance of his duties, that he will not have any other professional occupation of any kind, remunerated or not, on his own behalf or on behalf of any person or legal entity. Furthermore, under French employment law ("Code du travail"), the employee has a duty of loyalty vis-à-vis his employer. There is also the possibilty to include post termination restrictive covenants within the service agreement, like non solicitation of employees or non solicitation of customers.

Copied the above from some website by some french lawyer (learned how to cite in college)

The socialistic french logic is simple:

There are x amount of jobs in France translating into y amount of needed working hours.

If everybody works less hours there will be more jobs :-) With this logic you can win election in this beautiful country.

vive la france!

Ps. strikes are a service to society!

This is the correct answer, except that usually the contract doesn't forbid second jobs, it usually states that you need the agreement of your employer before engaging in another professional occupation. So OP has to read his employment contract.
