Playing live in a pub poker league, very aggressive loose player in early position goes all in -- I had KK - - middle position. I was the only one who called. He was used to stealing blinds, and would do it early and often (until people had played with him for more than ten minutes.) He flips over his cards -- he has A - rag. Board helped him nada, and when I won, he says, VERY loudly, "I wanted you to have all my chips, sweetie" as he winks. Yeah, right!

I've never seen ladies treated badly at the table or been shot at with gender-specific raging.

Then again, I play in a small room that has exactly two females who are regulars, and they are both tough as nails winning regs who flatten all comers on a consistent basis.

Reading this thread makes it annoying to not be female. Hearing about these droolers makes me feel like my gender leaves me in poor company. :P

a poker buddy of mine who plays really well but is very close-lipped at the table and almost never talks totally comes out of his shell when a girl who he must have thought was the girl of his dreams comes and sits in our uncapped 5/10 game. he had long hair and was sitting next to her, and started asking her what kind of shampoo she used. i think her response was "what?" followed by "seat change button please". to his credit, he's a nice guy and this chick is stuck up and plays off her boyfriends trustfund-roll. i just thought it was funny that he was smelling her hair at the table and thought that might be a good line to break the ice.

it got a little awkward, because he was persistent, and over the next week or so i think she finally berated him. he also got some sort of weird smile on his face anytime he played a pot with her.

i got berated by a girl once when it went check/bet/raise/raise/shove when I had AQdd w/ NFD on an A-5-7 board and she said something to the effect of "i guess you think because i'm a girl i can't ever have ace-king there, i was such a favorite".

best line i ever delivered to a girl at the poker table; "you should come visit me in dallas sometime"...she was on a date and the guy she was with had staked her to play in the game and was sitting across from us. we've been together 3.5 yrs now.

What really happened here was that this guy was semi-bluffing on the flop and turn, missed his draw, and made that statement to save face so he wouldn't look like a pussy. I suppose there's a small chance he had top pair/lousy kicker, but he definitely didn't make a big fold (though clearly he wanted to make it seem that way).

Still, that's a great quote. When I get old I'm going to use it.
