I didn't face any discrimination that got into my way of doing something, however it still happens a lot that you face certain prejudice, as a german. I worked a lot internationally and had to face some situations where people were treating me like a racist because of the unfortunate history of the country i was born in.

at the tables i only hear a 'bitch' or similar for every other 'nazi'.

i could get upset over it or just laugh it off. i enjoy laughing more.

No matter whether anyone posts in here or really pays attention to this forum section. 2plus2 has been a long-standing icon for poker for a very long time and the acknowledgment that women have a place in poker and should be ok to discussion poker or strategy without fear of retribution is more than welcome. Its a great statement. I personally wish there was no need at all for any type of segregation in poker; but that being said until such time as there are more women playing - so what if there is a forum such as this? It doesn't harm anyone and if nobody participates in it, then I'm sure the forum admin will get rid of the section and spend constructive time elsewhere. So, if you don't want to participate then don't.

Its the same as the way I feel about ladies only events, for those that want them or only want to play poker socially, I fail to see the harm in having them available in some circumstances. They aren't for everyone, and certainly not for every women who plays poker - there are always plenty of open events around. But if a woman wants to play in one and its available, she should be able to participate without being ridiculed.

We need to encourage all women in poker as its good for both the players and the industry.

I feel like perhaps you're understimating women's ability to read for comprehension.

TTHRIC, though. If anyone has concerns about the name or the moderation, they can feel free to PM me about it.

For further low content chat, there's a thread for that.

If you don't feel a need for this forum, don't post in it. Kthxbai.
