Hey girls,
I would like to make a post to sell shares but I have never done that before. Will I be approved? How do I go about it? If you have any help to offer, I would greatly appreciate it.

I came in 5th in ladies event a few years ago and have solid online/live results so obv would give links for that. Debbie Mitchell 47k, the year gromekova won.

Also OP to give my insight on the field, I would agree with Kamikazee a bunch. You will be able to figure out who thinks on dif levels quickly.

You can sell by posting in the classifieds of 2+2 (have to get access first throug a mod there, so don't know if you'll be approved, but I dont think you'll have a problem) or you can do it by asking friends or people you play with.

If you have stats and results to share, that's important, but it's also important to give references so people can feel comfortable investing in you if they don't know you.

I think I understood you, but I felt you oversimplified going deep and winning huge field $1k-$1500 events during the wsop. Ofc we all like to think we are +ev and can win, but obv that doesn't happen 90%+ of the time.

If you go to the Marketplace forum, you should be able to find a Marketplace rules post that will tell you everything you need to know about getting access to the MP (it's usually at the top of all the subforums as well). The MP requires actual mod approval; to get this you have to meet some basic criteria, such as being a member for at least 6 months, be a contributing member (not have a tiny amount of posts) and have no scams attached to your name.

Ultimately it's up to the mods of the MP who they will approve and who they won't, but if you meet the major criteria they won't turn you away without a good reason.

I'm not a MP mod, so I'm not sure how they would feel about your post count. You definitely meet the time on site requirement.

Your stats/references look good enough to try to sell on the MP. Frankly, seeing as how I'm selling in the MP despite very little high stakes experience (and have sold 33% so far! Get your piece now! ), anyone with winning stats at mid stakes or higher at least has a chance of selling a decent amount.

My advice would be to read some of the threads that are currently in the Selling Shares - Live MP subforum, and pattern your own thread (if/when you are MP approved) on them. Just be honest, and if selling out is more important than extracting max value, consider charging relatively low MU.

The MP is drier this year than it has been in the past, but good players are still selling action. Hell, even I'm still selling action.

Thanks SGT! I will request approval now. I will get more involved here, I had no idea post count mattered.

I will be playing in this event and I appreciate all the insight. I'm really nervous but also really looking forward to it.

I've played in a few local Ladies only tournaments locally and my experience is that there were many callers, even to a raise, but they rarely if ever re-raised or did any raising pre-flop on their own. If they did, they had a monster. If they bet out on their own on any street, I knew they had a strong holding.

Does that sound similar to what ya'll have experienced in this tournament? And if so, what's the strategy to beat them? I wouldn't think it was necessary to be too tricky: Raise with medium to strong hands pre-flop, but also recongnize opportunities to get in cheap with small pairs/suited connecters, charge them to chase their draws, realize most stealing oppotunities will come on the river if the draws don't hit, know you're beat if bet into on the river and probably also so if called? Does that sound too simplistic?

Sorry, I don't know all the correct lingo and stuff

Thanks, Jen
