I love this story:
We recently checked with tournament officials to see if the defending champion of this event, Rep Porter, had late registered. They confirmed that they had checked the list and he would not be defending his title. We weren't quite sure as to the reason why, but we checked his Twitter and found out. Needless to say, it touched our hearts and more than passes for a valid excuse. nice....saw on the news the other that a baseball coach did not assist to his son's high school graduation...because "everybody has to graduate" or something like that. What a jerk!
