my bf went to go see Titantic 3D BY HIMSELF so he pretty much qualifies as a lady, yes?

He is definitely in touch with his feminine side - I vote yes!

Re: Pre-Ladies' WSOP Event Meetup

Can I bring my mom if she's coming to Vegas that day? She's really cool! And responsible for all my good genes (except the logical/mathematical/card playing skills, that was my dad)!

And I need to show her how poker players can be great people too, not just degenerates.

Re: Pre-Ladies' WSOP Event Meetup

I want to clarify before this happens - are we sticking to strictly posters in this forum - male and female - or are we bringing others?

Asking cause Bwammo wants to come, never posts in this forum, but is a close friend so if others are bringing someone since it is my birthday I would bring him. And he has a close friend coming to Vegas with him... so there it gets complicated lol.

Just say if I need to come alone and I will! Can meet up with them afterwards if need be.

My vote is to allow anyone that wants to come to attend-- though keep in mind that a lot of the discussion will likely be poker-centric, so it might be wise to leave behind non-poker friends. I'm all for inclusion and making new friends, but if the majority of posters disagree and think that it should be only TWSSers, then I would certainly go along with that.

What do others think?

it wouldn't truly be a TWSS gathering if we weren't inclusive of anyone who wanted to attend. the more the merrier, IMO.

I am def leaning towards an only-TWSS meet up.
I think that immediate significant others of TWSSrs are ok (bf/gf/moms )
In all honesty, the whole reason for the meet up is for us posters to meet irl and to also meet new TWSS members who are wanting to interact with other TWSSrs.
I think if it becomes this huge meetup with anyone attending, that the insightful-ness of TWSS could be lost.

Re: Pre-Ladies' WSOP Event Meetup

Hmmm.. decisions, decisions. I will go with the majority - though if we go with bringing non TWSS'ers kind of hate to have the line drawn at only significant others cause like in my case it is a poker player whom a few other TWSS'ers know very well. But if I have to call him my significant other he ain't coming lololol.

Kind of a toss-up really. It would be nice to meet others who would come as guests - though Katie D makes a good point about non-poker types.

And Katie S makes a good point about it getting too huge.

So - as said rolling with the flow! I won't be bummed or bothered any way it goes cause it will be my birthday and I will be spending it with awesome friends!!

well if we're gonna be all picky about who attends I'll be at a big table in the corner with anyone who'd like to join.

Re: Pre-Ladies' WSOP Event Meetup

I don't really care who comes either. And my +1 isn't a significant other. He's kind of a "friend of TWSS" and I think he probably has more equity in the ladies event than anyone else attending. Is this a problem?

I wonder why people would want to come if they aren't really involved with TWSS, but that's neither here nor there.

Re: Pre-Ladies' WSOP Event Meetup

I vote for anyone who wants to come to be able to attend. I'm not going to go out of my way to invite people that nobody knows, but would feel awkward and highschoolish if someone expressed interest in coming to check it out and I had to tell them they're not welcome.

Can we settle on a middle ground? Like don't try to bring 5 guests, but if a buddy or mom or bf feels like tagging along then that's ok?

The buffet is great bc we can all change seats and meet everyone and get drunk on $8 bottomless wine and now I can't wait.
