Won a seat to a $1500 WSOP event in January, decided to play the Millionaire Maker next week. However I'm 19 weeks pregnant with first baby. Wanted to know if any of you ladies have played a long tournament while preggers, and if so, if you have any tips!! I'm feeling fine so far and don't currently have any bad symptoms, but worried about being comfy and being able to concentrate for such long days.

My 2nd trimester just so happened to be during the WSOP in Vegas last summer...it was terrible. Hottest June and July on record for Vegas last year. June was ok, but by the first week of July, I had decided I had played my last live event. It became too uncomfortable to sit for that long (I have back problems though as well) and with as much water I was drinking, getting to the bathroom was becoming very time consuming.

That said, every pregnancy is different, and you may feel great! Also, since live poker is horrifyingly slow, I spent a lot of time standing at the table behind my chair, so don't be afraid to do that; I think it helps.

Full disclosure: this is coming from a dude.

I would recommend making it a relatively short trip. That is arriving a day or two before, staying at Rio and leaving shortly after the tournament. Obviously, you do not want to miss out on an event that you already qualified for, but it would probably be wise for you to minimize the time in Vegas summer heat while pregnant.

Hmmm, not sure if this is a troll, but I'll give benefit of the doubt.
There are many women in Vegas who survive the heat on an ongoing basis and have healthy babies every day!

It is def important to remain hydrated however. Dehydration during pregnancy is common, and no water on hot days can spell disaster like it did for me when I was about 7.5 months along...the last thing you need is a trip to the ER!

I did a lot of long drives during my pregnancy, and the back of my legs would cramp. I imagine you'll be standing by the table most of the time, peeing every ten mins, and have bad back cramps ::. GL

Thanks to all who responded!! Well happy to report that baby behaved during my entire week I spent in Vegas... Nothing bothersome... I kept hydrated and stayed indoors... So the Vegas heat became a non-issue...

The only thing that killed me was busting day 1 of the MM with full house vs full house...

Loved the experience nonetheless and will be back!
