Maybe my tone came off wrong or summin. I wasn't implying that she doesn't do this constantly. I just found it amusing that I read a post if hers saying she had decided she wanted to play the main event, and then a few hours later, she won almost exactly 10k. If she had won, I would not have made a similar comment, as I was simply referring to the proximity to the buy-in of the score.

Lol, I think Katie was just teasing me for my luckboxiness , which I deserve. Cracked KK with A5 soooOOooted or I woulda just mincashed.
Jmurder, I became a bankroll nit in my old age or I'd def play the main no matter what. Might still do it anyway

Main event has such sick value i'm sure if you wanted to you could easily sell off some action in it.

Dgirl, you're definitely right. I'm just a little gunshy bc I regretted playing it 2 years ago, randomly had a terribad table draw (boostedj and darryl fish on my left, not a single satellite player or person over 30 y/o), I played pretty bad and wished I'd saved my 10k for some borgata deepstacks instead.

I know you're right about the value in the tourney, but that 1st experience made me realize it still is just one big buy-in variancefest, no matter how good the structure (and how bad the average player).

Yes, and that makes it a great time to take a stake imo-- for all of us that don't have at least a $1 million BR.

All the more reason to just sell off some action, go, and have a good time imo

You're both right, I know. Let's just win seats anyway though.

If I weren't in a sick downswing, i'd snap call buying up any of your action Jamie. As it stands i'm a little more stretched for cash than i'm used to and need to save $ so I myself can play as many events as possible. Honestly though, I can't imagine you'd have any problem selling off as much action as you wanted.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, dgirl. Maybe when the event gets closer, we can do micro-swaps in this forum just for a fun sweat for whoever ends up playing.

The only time I played in the Main Event I got a nice table with a bunch of satelliters and one guy who never played a live MTT before on my left (his dad gave him a tick as a birthday present and he was out in four hours). I think registering late or at the last minute is a big mistake though I'm sure they're constantly trying to make it more random.

I agree that you should play Jamie. Firstly, if you're crushing 109 rebuys you definitely have a huge skill edge. Secondly, there's patch/sponsorship overlay like in no other tournament if you happen to go deep or draw a TV table. Someone can do the math, but I'm guessing theoretically (over infinite runs of the tourney) that's worth well over 10K on top of your tournament equity. That's why the sites PAY YOU and offer you sick bonuses not to cash out your seat, they know it's worth it to them for a chance at all that TV face time.

Also, I'll be there and I'll have $$ on a woman making final table so I want as many skilled TWSSers to play as possible

I'm just needling Jamie because ever since she got a "real" job she has been crushing...even on Stars

She didn't win the 11k...some sort of A9 < KJ all-in pre debacle with AQT flop.

I think that was the 1...dunno hard to multi-table watch some1 play poker while doing 27 other things

She's doing quite well in a $4r she didn't previously mention tho (6/19).

Edit: 3/18

Yea that was pretty disgusting. Final table bubble. 'iloseflips24' snaps aipf for basically whole stack with KJo and flops nutz vs. my A9. Ran QQ into AK at final table of other one which obv didn't work out either. And now 7/14 in $4quad/$2k. Did have a 2nd place on FTP tho today, but was for peanuts. Sorry Jamie

Um WHAT?
No update here....???
anyways......

Jamie shipped the 33r last night on stars for $4500...
I had like 20 tables going while she was playing, had her table up too, and was on FB chat w/ highlandfox who had just gotten to Bratislava with mement (who, even though he is a boy, had pretty SICK Sunday btw - so gratz to him too), so I didn't have time to post here and apparently neither did she - even though she was only 1-tabling.
Pretty much, once they got HU and 'Aduobe4' (good reg) had her 3-1, it was like signed, sealed, delivered for Jamie. 3-1 = no prob vs. good regs.
