My girlfriend is amazing & I love her & she treats me amazingly & we're ridiculously happy together, but a certain TWSS mod doesn't hang out with us anymore, so I need commiseration. Thx in advance

I've been with my boyfriend over four years now, we get along great and have ridiculous nicknames for each other, but when we fight (which isn't often) it's always about something completely inane and then it can take a while to sort out because he's a) quiet and withdrawn when he's mad and b) quiet and withdrawn when he thinks I'm mad.

I've told him many times that a) I don't stay mad for long and b) unlike him, I actually prefer to talk it out when I'm mad rather that sit and stew. However, he generally persists in acting as if I need the kind of space he likes when he's mad.

It's a minor thing, really, since we don't fight much, but this last time both of us thought the other was mad so neither said anything until I basically just broke down like the sissy girl I am.

But he wasn't mad, and neither was I any more, so it was quickly put to right.

And for the record, this one was totally his fault. He was a little peeved about running bad at poker that night and cursed me out for not wanting to argue about how he should have played a particular hand.

Haha, we've been together over four years, I think it works fabulously most of the time.

And the only real problem is if we play at the same table. I already shared the story of him blowing up at me when I (correctly) called his all-in and stacked him. He claimed he was playing against the other villain in the hand and that I should have known that and folded.

It's usually not an issue, though, as I prefer tournaments and he prefers cash.

Just tell him that it is usually the weaker overall player that gets upset when their partner busts them. The better player accepts that their partner made the right play.

See, I prefer not to get the silent treatment for a week.

He'll acknowledge that I'm a better tourney player (grudgingly), but even though I think I've caught up and possibly surpassed him in cash skills, I doubt he'd ever admit it so I won't say it, just to keep the peace.
