all my win this week proves is that either:

a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

this game is rigged!

thanks for the explanation on the dot. Thought I saw something flash on my screen about moderating something, but it went by too quick for me to read it.

While it'd be awesome to win this week even though it doesn't look like it'll happen (I don't think Moss > Holley by 13 points...), I'm just happy that GIANTS BEAT EAGLES for the first time in 7 straight matchups!!!!

And this is the 3rd week in a row CJ2K has let me down... thinking of maybe benching him until he starts proving himself?
I know, I'm thrilled Cleveland won this week and really a win in FF would just be icing on the cake. I'm remarkably more blase about my FF team winning the weeks Cleveland squeaks one out.

We'll see about tonight, I also doubt Moss > Holley for that many, but you never know. Your RB really let you down this week, for sure. As did mine, but as you said, having Welker on my team is definitely

LOL, you're funny. And you don't give yourself enough credit, for someone who doesn't really follow football it can be a little more difficult to put together a solid FF team. As long as you are having fun, that's all that matters.

Lol you know I live in Cleveland now, right? All my friends and the bar I was at was going absolutely CRAZY over the Browns game! Lol and sadly, I was the only one (minus one friend) that was even bothering to pay attention to the Giants/Eagles one... This week was really the week of the underdogs!

And it's def not just this week they let me down, CJ2K has let me down every week now... time to bench him, maybe? Give him a time-out until he learns to behave?

Hmmm arguable that Welker is a def thumbs up tho... thing about Brady and the Pats is that he has a new favorite every week- first couple games it was Hernandez/Gronkowski, this week it Welker... it could just as easily be someone else next week tho. It's really a hit-or-miss with any of them (except brady ) which is why I don't like having them on my team.

And yeah, a bad outing every once in a while is to be expected, but if someone isn't producing for weeks it's probably time to pull the plug.

That can be a problem, but Welker also had two TDs (including a 99 yard one) in week one, I think. He's their underneath guy, and Brady and the Pats have always been very willing to take what defenses give them, so he's usually good for 8-10 catches for ~8-10 yards each game, just from all the slants and stuff.

I didn't know you lived in Cleveland, must have been crazy with the Brownies pulling it out at the last second. The irony, of course, is that I've never been to Cleveland except to drive through. I root for the Browns because my dad is from Ohio (Toledo) - I grew up mostly in NY, and my cousins are all Giants fans.

He's golden in a PPR league.

Well you have to remember almost no one is going to be fantastic every week, but Welker is almost always a solid bet, esp until Hernandez comes back. Don't know what to tell you about CJ, I was hoping to get him myself in the draft but if Brit's out for long maybe he'll be used more (though I hope not cuz Brit was carrying my other FF team :P)

Meh, there's so much variance with injuries and matchups that it's tough even if you do!

Unless something significantly different than the preliminary reports comes back, Brit's out for the season with MCL and ACL injuries.

Holy crap I may be able to hold on and win this week with two zeros (a WR and my defense) and one negative result (RB). Thank heavens for Brees and Welker.

BTW, thank you for dropping BAL D.

Haha, I dropped it but I had never started them, I used to have the Jets. Until they laid a big 'ole goose egg last week and I got mad.

Congrats to whomever is tromping me this week, average only performances (including an underperformance by Brees - since when does he only chuck 1 TD in a game?) from my crew doomed me to 2-2. And Cleveland is also 2-2. Kinda eerie.

should have started them this week.

I hear ya on dropping a backup D though. it always makes me chuckle when an owner drafts 2 D's, 2 K's or a back up QB early (like 7th round) when they have Aaron Rodgers (or another top 5 QB).

I have 2 defenses right now and feel pretty silly bout it, but all the free agents seem replacement level to me. I did drop my back-up for Rodgers. Hopefully that makes my team less embarrassing.

I originally drafted two defenses and two kickers (and two QBs), but I dropped my backup kicker and defense to make room for more WR/RB since mine keep getting injured.

I know Baltimore's defense is good, but I absolutely loathe Baltimore, so I have a hard time starting them. Honestly, if you just pick an okay defense vs. a weak team, you'll usually get a decent defense score. Having Baltimore's defense on my team was bad for my football soul. Never should have drafted them in the first place.

Pretty sure my issue this week was just that instead of having a few great producers, most of my players produced average/mediocre numbers, including Brees, who I think had been close to or exceeded 30 points the first three weeks, but only got 17 this week. It happens, I'm not too fussed about it.

I'm carrying 2 at the moment but that's mostly because you do need a slot for rotating pick ups for byes. And I'd concur with the replacement level assessment.

LOL the only FF game I won is the only week the Giants lost... if it means me sacrificing my league games so that they can win, so be it

Yes, and exactly how did you amass yourself that fine stable of RBs? I'm jelly. Can I have one?

have...we can talk.

and you can thank Al Davis' ghost for your win. Way to screw me over Al, with our team picking off my QB as time expires.

I probably should have said trade - I don't expect you to just give me one.

And that was a brutal loss for you. Going into the Sunday night game I wanted to pad my lead because I know how good Forte is, and my TWO players in the GB game end up doing jack ****. I knew the only way I stood a chance was if Forte didn't end up in the end zone, and even then it was going to be close. I was watching the game to the end, hoping that Forte wouldn't get the 32 yards he needed to give you the victory on that final drive.

I lost week two with the second best score, so squeaking one out with a subpar performance is a huge sigh of relief, kinda feels like this week wipes out the disappointment of that week.

That is the great thing about FF, tho. I watched that game to the end just to see if Forte was going to beat me; otherwise I doubt I would have watched the final drive.

Amen. FF has been one of the best things to happen to the NFL. And with the advent of daily (ok, weekly) leagues you're not completely hosed if you screw up (get bitten by the injury bug) your draft.

And anyone interested in my RBs better come with offers quick. I've gotten some already and am more than willing to move people for a good offer. The good news (for y'all) is I'm someone that likes win-win deals.

Haha, and I'm the only person with a winning record with more points against than points for.
