And I don't think there's a way you can see if someone else has requested a player off waivers. All I know is, that if anyone else requests a player other than me, they'll get it. Our waiver priorities are the numbers after our team names in the league standings. Mine is 8, meaning I'm in last place to pick up players off the waiver. Apparently I smoked you all in the draft.
Lol I would've put Starks and Hernandez on my waiver list too if I realized you could... whoops :P

*sighs*
This is most likely me at the end of the night. Current standings:

SGT RJ's Ninjas: 143.40 (final score)

J Murderers: 134.22, with McCoy (RB - PHI) still to play, and very good too, so the likelihood he doesn't get the 9+ fantasy points he needs to win the match-up for the week is slim to none, IMO.

So I'm very likely to have the 2nd best overall score this week but still lose the match-up. I'd like to blame the Jets, who apparently decided not to throw to Burress today, but truthfully me and Murderer's crew both had multiple players who lit it up, his just did a little better. Granted, having ANY points from Burress and more from Arian Foster (who underperformed) would make this more interesting, but considering I got huge performances from Hillis (RB - CLE) and Austin (WR - DAL) along with a very strong performance from my QB (Brees) it's hard to complain.

But I'm pretty happy, because Cleveland won (1-1, baby!).

arg. once again, I'm getting smoked.

Yes, I still have 5 games to go, but those guys are projected to give me 63 points and I need 92. Some of these players are going to have to have great performances for me to catch up.

The projections are almost always wrong, IMO. I was projected to earn 97 points this week. I have 143. If you have big players left (QB and at least one marquee RB/WR), you've definitely still got a shot.

Well, assuming I get nominal performance from Ahmad Bradshaw on Monday Night, I need about 50 points in the second half of the Eagles game from Mssrs Vick, Maclin, Henery, and their defense.

Dont' think it looks too good.

I'd turn the game on, but I'm too eager to catch up on how my girl Jane Lynch is doing at the emmys. I just love her.

Oh, you're loaded up for the Eagles. Yeah, really shaky first half out of Vick (I'm watching the game) - if that persists into the second half, yeah, you're cooked this week. I wouldn't worry about it from the Eagles perspective over the long haul, though, they are loaded and while they'll probably have some growing pains since they added a lot of new players this year, and while there's always a risk Vick will revert back to his old scrambling, do it all myself player he used to be who could go for 350+ yards one game and go for 190 yards and four turnovers the next, overall I expect Eagles players to perform at or above projected expectations for the year.

I could be wrong, of course, but as much talent as they have I just have a hard time believing that they won't perform well over the course of the year, at least from a fantasy perspective. You might just be unlucky that they if they have an off week today. There's 16 more weeks after this, just remember that.

we've already had 2 weeks, you mean the season is 18 games long now? geez, no wonder the Super Bowl gets later and later. The last season I remember I think was 16, which was already too long.

I think that 14 is more like it; this is a tough game, I don't see how anyone can take that kind of pounding for 18 games and not get hurt.

Of course, I'm one of those old school purists who thinks we should actually play the World Series in October, not stretch it into November. ;-)

Could be an interesting day of gambling for me. Chopped TI freeroll 3-way for $625, dominated in my fantasy football dynasty league, snuck out a victory over you, and if the Giants beat the Rams and the total score is close to 42, there's an off chance me & my gf win 5k from the station casinos contest.

Ok, so I'm down by 34.02 points going into Monday night and I've got Ahmad Bradshaw left. If I'm reading this thing right, I need him to score 3 touchdowns and get more than 160 yds or score 2 TDs and get more than 220 yds.

Not looking good. And my Iggles lost. There is only one thing that I can say:

Phillies Division Champs baby! Yeah! Looking forward a World Series win around Christmas or New Years, whenever they get around to playing it this year.

Whoops, I meant 15, not 16. Remember, there's one more week of games because everyone has a buy week.

Boy it's cutting it close- up by 14, but deadmoney has Manningham and a kicker left, and Nicks is still questionable as to whether he'll play or not... (btw, who's deadmoney?)

Gahhh and I'm a Big Blue fan!!! Guess I'll just be massively rooting for Bradshaw/Jacobs...

Well this is fun, I've lost my best WR and TE to injuries for the next few weeks at least.

In some ways this is worse than losing them for the season, since I can't drop them without risking someone else snatching them up. Since it's Austin from Dallas and Hernandez from NE, someone would snap them up. So I guess it's back to the waivers for me.

Not as bad as whoever had Charles from KC, tho. He's out for the year. Tough break. RB is the worst position in FF to sustain a major injury.

Ah, yeah that would be ... me!

So not only do I have to replace him, but of course he went out early so I got pretty much no points out of him this week.

I can already see that my FF luck is going to be about the same as my luck in poker (or in life). As in, it's going to suck.

I remember years ago reading some of the Tiltboys stuff and running across The Six Smega Man Oopps, I meant Sigma!

Anyhow, if you follow the reasoning that luck is something of a bell shaped curve, then of course the vast majority of folks have close to "average luck" and there must be some luckboxes one or two standard deviations out. And a select few individuals who are even further out and are just luckier than most other three people combined.

So, on the one hand if Dave Lambert is indeed the 6 Sigma man and is +EV not only at craps and keno but can also rely on hitting his one or two outer whenever he needs to, then there must be some other poor soul on the other end of the curve who will just always lose to one and two outers.

Yes, folks, I am that unfortunate soul. It's time to admit it. In the lottery of life, I'm the ticket that gets lost in the laundry.

Yes but the last week is usually ditched in fantasy leagues since there are too many meaningless games and scoring gets kinda crazy and/or a lot of starters don't play. We have 16 weeks total, 13 games in the regular season and 3 in playoffs

Looks like the injury bug is biting hard this season Been lucky enough to dodge it in our league so far (knock wood) but I have Romo in another league - not sure what the avg recovery for a punctured lung is but sure sounds bad

I lost by 1.58 points??? Seriously???

Hey, at least the Giants won tho... gotta pick your battles, right?

That's the biggest reason I take so many RBs.

Alrighty then, 14 games remaining it is.

Did he really puncture his lung? I mean, if so....damn.

Yeah, I lost this week in FF, but am not that unhappy because the Browns won, so I'm right with you there. Go Browns!

Starting to look like a damn smart strategy. All mine are still relatively healthy, tho, knock on wood, it's my WRs that are dropping like flies.

sick ending. i thought i lost until opened up yahoo last night after the game and was very pleasantly surprised.

i switched out santonio for manningham about 5 secs before the jets game started, looks like that was a bad switch, but worked out anyway.

Should I just wave the white flag now? Both my starting running backs are out for today.

The positive: Both went out before the start of the game, so I had a chance to pick up a RB off waivers to fill in the gap for this week. So better than one of them going out during the game with an injury. Still. Instead of Foster and Hillis (Foster hasn't been going so far this year, but Hillis had a great week last week), I start the awesome combination of Danny Woodhead and CJ Spilier.

I think FF flipped my doomswitch this week.

Doomswitch?

Welcome to my world.

The concussion to Vick last week wasn't bad enough, he broke his hand today, along with his WR Maclin getting hurt. I'm not only screwed this week, now I'm not clear what kind of patches I need going forward.

And this is after losing my best RB last week.

Tell me again why I got into this thing? At this rate I might as well just suit up myself.

Well, I may as well have just left one of my injured RBs in, since Spilier actually got me negative points (-.04). But since Brees once again put up good numbers, as did Welker, and since my FF opponent this week's RB underperformed, I've got a shot, I think.

Lol I'd say with Welker on your team, you have better than a shot :P

While it'd be awesome to win this week even though it doesn't look like it'll happen (I don't think Moss > Holley by 13 points...), I'm just happy that GIANTS BEAT EAGLES for the first time in 7 straight matchups!!!!

And this is the 3rd week in a row CJ2K has let me down... thinking of maybe benching him until he starts proving himself?
