GAHHHH I can't believe we were sooooo close to beating out the Packers!!! Why didn't we run the ball at the end and blow more time off the clock??

At least Cowboys lost (div), Falcons lost (wild card), Lions lost (wild card), AND Bears lost (wild card)...

Pretty much with our crappy conference record, our only hope is to win our two games against the cowgirls...

Oh and not that it really matters but just to seal the deal, Eagles (div) AND Redskins (div) also lost...

Very sad that I just started winning too late in the season and ended my last 6 games as 5-1... does this mean my season's over and I have nothing to do for the next two weeks until I match Katie in the losers playoffs?

I was 5-2 after we had all played everyone once. I've gone 1-5 since.

Like I said, I've got the second most points scored. I've just happening to get matched up the past few weeks against someone else who blows it out of the water (I think this weeks loss is one of only two on the entire season where I scored less than 100 points, but IDK how to go back and check that).

Funny how that happens.

Ah well, it's all in fun anyway. If I wasn't so competitive I wouldn't care at all. I just hate losing at anything.

What I don't get is why playoffs start the following week and run Weeks 15/16/17 rather than 14/15/16... we're just wasting Week 17, right? Give me another chance!

Yeah, I have no idea. Maybe because week 17 in the NFL is a really weird week, with lots of teams sitting players or basically playing a half-assed game because their position in the playoffs is already locked up? This would obviously impact fantasy a lot since people take the top players and a lot of those would be out or not giving it 100%.

That's exactly why most leagues end in week 16.

Yeah, that's exactly why - by then a lot of starters don't play or there are a lot of meaningless games. But FYI Pokerella, the consolation round is this week, so get your team ready

Are you sure, Aimee? From the playoffs schedule, it looks like we just have byes in Weeks 14 and 15, and that we don't meet until the "finals" in Week 16...? I don't have a "match-up" link anymore.

I mean, I'm guessing the Yahoo ppl didn't know that there would only be 8 teams in our league/2 teams in consolation playoffs...

Sure, why not. I'm still basking in the glow of going from "what's a bye week?" to ending the regular season in 1st place.

Clearly this format is all about the variance; I am currently 6th in points for and only won because somehow I wound up lowest in points against. Must be from wearing that Micros rungood shirt on the weekends.

Not necessarily looking forward to the playoffs with Vick coming off an injury and my other assorted banged up crew of misfits, but it's been fun.

A lot of it's just football in general. 16 games is clearly enough of a sample size. #tebows



But only having 8 teams didn't help matters much either. There are enough good players that 8 teams really gives you depth and it just becomes a matter of who got the most lucky.

By the way, did any of us have a single trade all season? Just looking at some of the other FFL threads, it looks like it's all about trading...
