This is Gary as a kitten.
His brother, my rex rat Tony.
Xanthippe (left), I took because she was in the pet stores adoption centre, and my previous girls (Skinny and Tubbs) were recently deceased.
Echo (right) I took at a later date because I wanted a friend for Xanthippe. They settled in together almost immediately.
The late Tubbs. This was about a week or two before I had her put to sleep. She looks pretty mangy, she'd lost a lot of weight, but she never suffered, she was still bright, happy, and responsive. I got Skinny and Tubbs from a friend of a friend at Uni. She bought them on impulse, I took them while she was abroad for a month or so, and she never asked for them back. They took a lot of socialising, but were lovely after a bit of time. Oh, and I hated their original names, but didn't know if I'd keep them, hence they kind of got stuck with their temp titles.
Kenny (foreground) and Billy. My two fine bred Devon Rexes. Two of the most affectionate cats I've ever known, but you have to be on watch because Kenny likes to jump on you, and he is not a small cat.
Bramble, at 6-7 weeks old. My mother's Christmas present. She's a boarder terrier and still has that puppy style of wagging her tail where the entire back half of her body sways frantically.
Rambo again.
Missing are Hermes (rat) who has so far eluded my camera phone, and Molly (black lab), Skinny (virtually identical to Tubbs, but was much thinner when they arrived), and my original two, sadly deceased, rats; Desmond and Razz.
