Was hoping my mum would see my tweet and give me a big list of improvements but she must have missed it. So no tips unfortunately Anyone know a good website with quickish meals? My main issues with cooking is that I don't know how, it takes too long and I never know what to do with leftover ingredients

I know how to cook but my issue is cooking for one person is very exhausting. I always end up with leftovers and I don't eat them because sometimes I only see my apartment for only a few hours. I gave up and eat out everyday, maybe you could try that instead?

Please post the leftovers you have and we'll try to help you come up with a tasty new dish! Fwiw, the pot pie I made yesterday was actually mostly from leftovers.

I had:
-Braised pork w/ the liquid & veggies it was cooked with: (white wine, carrots, onions, herbs, potatoes, stock)
-Chicken liver mousse
-Pea soup

I made:
-Whole wheat pate brisee for the crust and decorations.

I diced the pork, sauteed and added flour (to thicken all of the liquid which I deglazed with). Then I reduced on the stove while I made the crust and blind-baked it. I mixed some of the chunky pea soup into filling and then also put some on top to add some color variation.

IMO, you can make some of the yummiest dishes ever with leftovers because it is just another opportunity to build layers of favor.

This thread is making me want to start a cooking blog.

i'm currently in love w/ this website. the crispy/chewy choco chip cookies are AMAZING. prob gonna make the blondies right now so i have snacks for tomorrow, haven't tried them yet. also, the mac n cheese recipe on this site, adapted from martha stewart, is outstanding.

I just got the stuff to make tres leches cake. I've made it a few times before and it's turned out really well, so I'm excited to make it again. I prefer vanilla to chocolate. I desperately need dairy when I eat desserts so this is pretty much the perfect dessert for me.

I really suck at taking pictures. Cake is baked and the glaze is setting, I'll take a picture when it's out of the fridge before I put the whipped cream on it and one after of a slice.

CAKE.

GLAZED, TOPPING.

CUT, EAT.

You can't see the glaze in the picture too well but it tastes like a big ol glass of milk. So tasty.
