Trying to find pics of a wedding cake I made for one of my besties. Till then try this recipe for delish cookies
1 cup of softened butter
2 cups of chocolate chips (semi sweet)
1 teaspoon of baking soda
3 cups of normal all purpose flour
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon mint extract
Pinch of salt
Bake at 350 make sure oven is pre-heated
Mix the sugars and the butter, add eggs and vanilla keep beating till smooth. Water down the baking soda in warm water (same teaspoon), add the baking soda and the rest of the ingredients to mix.
Once you have a thickish consistency scoop and add onto cookie sheet and bake for 8 - 9 mins.
Mint Chocolate chip itt! Never actually made them before (have made plain old chocolate chip cookies quite a lot though). Are they even better than plain ones?
Omg i'm one of those weirdos who is always taking pictures of her food. I however, am virtually never responsible for baking it. Soooo...I apologize in advance for my lack of participation but please know I certainly appreciate any effort the baking inclined TWSS members put forth.
This thread has been inspirational. Tonight I bought the ingredients for my mom's peanut butter criss-cross cookies. Tomorrow afternoon will be the big bake. Luckily, the weather forecast is for the high 70's so I can survive a couple hours with the oven on. My plan is to send most of the cookies to my brother for his birthday. \o/
zomg my workplace is holding a bake sale in 2 weeks to support the SPCA so now I have an excuse to try something out these things are usually overloaded with cookies and brownies so if anyone has unique suggestions pls let me know! (I wonder if they'd let me do doggie treats, seems appropriate for the cause, no?)
