Just an FYI for any female poker players in Miami:

Casino Miami Jai Alai is starting a Women's Poker League this month. A $50 tourney the third Wednesday of the month. You accumulate points and the best 20 at the end of the year play in a special tournament.

I'm unsure about any other information or structure. However, if you live in SoFla, thought you may be interested in this since Ive never seen anything like it down here.

*I played it last year- I don't remember the details too well about how stringent they were on making it one man/one woman per team, but I do remember individuals coming in on tournament day that were willing to pair up with other randoms looking.
*I also think (but my memory is pretty bad so I could be completely wrong) that all the men played one the same round/all the women played on the same round last year, though I could be wrong... if this were the case, it would essentially be like a Ladies event for the rounds you are playing.
*It was fun! In general you get much better fold equity to bluff Just make sure your partner doesn't bash you too hard for it and that you can defend the situation was right for it, lol.

Caesars also has two NLHE tag team tourneys in their series (Tues, 6/25 and Thurs, 7/4), though I'm pretty sure these are not geared towards "guys and dolls" /"couples" style.

Do you know of any satellite tournaments into the Rio Ladie's Championship? I see two for the LIPS Championship but I can't find any into the Rio one for my wife.

Anyone playing in the WSOP Europe in Paris this month? My bf won a package, so I might come with him to play a satellite to the Ladies Event on Friday (Oct 11). All the other events are too expensive for my taste, so I only play the Ladies Event if I win a ticket that afternoon. Other than that, I’ll be railing my bf, going on the 888 cruise and hanging around Paris and such. So plenty of time to meet up with some 2p2-girls

So I got to Paris, but didn't play anything. Just went for the 888 cruise over the Seine ;-)
However, I did meet the 888 tournament manager and suggested that they start up a womens poker league or at least some good ladies tournaments. Especially now, since their pro Jackie Glazier won the WSOPE LE bracelet. Would be a great time to start a promotion around it. He actually got very enthusiastic about the idea, so yay!
888 is really growing lately and the packages that you can win via their satellites are awesome! Great value, very well organized, fantastic people and lots of fun. So I would definitely vote for some womens satellites for their packages :-)

Would you play at 888 if they start up some ladies tournaments, and what are your suggestions for them?

There is a ladies event on Saturday the 29th $250 BI re-entry. I can't find the structure anywhere but they are considering it a big stack.

There is a Ladies Event coming up at Charlestown, WV on March 30th. It's a re-entry, the structure looks pretty turbo-ish, and the rake is pretty crazy, (90 + 35), but I figured I'd put the info out there in case any of my fellow Mid-Atlantic gals feel like gambling it up
