Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

I thought I would say hello too.
I'm an Australian girl, currently living as an exchange student in France (in the cold north ). I play small stacks cash and mtts online and live when I can, though my game needs a lot of work.
Anyway good luck to everyone here.

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Hi I'm Caroline. I live in Boston and make it down to Foxwoods about once a month, and to Mohehan once in a blue moon. I play stud chiefly (I learned to play as a kid on an Intellevision so that gives you some idea as to how old i am lol) but I am trying to add nlhe and maybe omaha to my games. I'm mostly here to learn. I have 2 kids, a husband, a house, 3 cats and a day job but I still try to play and improve when I can. Very happy to see this forum. Hi everyone!

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Hi everybody - great to finally see a forum like this . I'm 26 and live and work in Manhattan at a hedge fund but spent last year playing live cash in Vegas, started off as a live tourny player and am finally exploring MTTs online due to time/travel restrictions. I would love to find a hand discussion group (or organize one as well) in the tri state area. I participated in one while I was in Las Vegas and aside from obviously being beneficial to improving your game it's a lot of fun as well.

I pretty much eat/breathe/live poker in whatever spare time I can find and am always up for a hand analysis, Tilt discussion, etc. I think the pain of poker is just something you don't understand unless you play so I try to be helpful to other players, particularly female

Again, great to see something like this - I don't have an "us against them" mentality but I certainly think poker is just a very different arena for each gender and it's great to see ladies coming forward

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Hello I 'm Tate and I started paying like a year ago, I don't go all the time as I wish because of my kids but I love to play, for now I 'm playing cash games. Maybe I will start to play more tournaments.

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Also I would love to learn more, my husband is almost a pro, he plays every day but he is not very patience with me.
I realized that for now my biggest problem is when I raised pre flop and when the flop comes and I don't hit anything I 'm still doing a continuation bet .....

Personal opinion.

Mohegan Sun Advantages

Nicer looking room
More comfortable chairs
More personable dealers on average
Faster dealers on average

Foxwoods Advantages

More knowledgeable floors and management
More games going
More variety of games
Better comps

If you're looking to play 1/2 cash games, my choice would be MS. You have a nice number of games to choose from. I don't play limit anymore, but I suspect the same is true at low stakes limit too. However, if you want play 2/5 NL, stud or any other game, you're pretty much going to play at Foxwoods. While MS might get 2-3 2/5 games going at best, Foxwoods will have 8-10 going at the same time. SNGs will go off regularly at Foxwoods while you could be in for quite a wait at MS.

Hope that answers your question.

And Foxwoods has cupholders built into the tables and closer bathrooms.

Let's not forget the important stuff!
