Hi, My name is Mike, and I guess I just want to introduce myself to everyone here, just so that if I post you know who I am. I am male, however unlike most guys out there, I was taught a good portion of my poker skills from women. It has allowed me a lot of tactics in terms of reading and tells. Sadly, though, the female poker players in my family do don't play live B&M due to the horrid things that men say to them on online poker sites.

I mainly play live tournaments, and low stakes cash games. Anytime I can, I will play ANYTHING other than NL hold'em. My best game is HORSE. I see some names out there that I have seen before on other forums in 2+2, so it will be nice to talk with every one of you.

Hi, Mike. Please tell your women that in live play, men usually behave themselves. Not always, but it's often quite pleasant at the table. I hope they'll post here.

I also like HORSE and games not NLHE. I do like PLO, though.

Regular cash game LA player, rarely play online other than the Sunday 1/4 mil sometimes. Will also play some tournaments, but 5/10 and 5/5 NL cash are my usual games.

I don't see too many women in the games that I play but would definitely be interested in meeting up with other women cash game players. I have quite a passion for the game and think about strategy all the time. I have also made every mistake in the book along the way and depending on whom you ask I am either the worst donk ever seen, a passive fish or a tough bully, which is just the way I like it.

I've been around quite a while, anyone who has spent any time @ Commerce/Hustler/Bike would likely recognize me on sight.
How old are you? I think I knew (of) almost every regular who played at Commerce or Hawaiian Gardens between 08 and 10.

It's occurred to me that a lot of the folks in this forum joined a lot later than most of my posts, so that things about me that I think are common knowledge on 2+2 maybe aren't to the newer folks. I was much more active around '05 and '06 than the last few years. I mostly hung around the z00 and OOT of all places.

So a lot of folks haven't seen my old Klingon avatar (I do speak the language just a bit), or know that I was once a heavy Rocky Horror Picture Show junkie (around 240 shows), or that I played in a lot of the ladies events in SoCal around the turn of the century (I met both Barbara Enright and Suzie Issacs by knocking them out). There are some old trip reports about my strange journey into the 2005 WSOP ME still in the archives somewhere.

Also, for instance it took me a while to dig up my threads about "Ask me about the LGBT community" ( because I've been each of those!) and getting to marry my wife just before Prop 8 passed in California.

So i can get married now in California

Ask me about the LGBT community

I don't so much care so much if folks know or not, but someone is bound to bring it up on this forum at some point, and I would rather put it out there first.

I had forgotten how much the Duck had posted in the latter thread till I reread it now, hope I get to buy her a drink sometime for chiming in.

Hi. I'm Emily, a Las Vegas local. I play a lot of 1/2, but sometimes take shots at 2/5 and 1/2 PLO....occasionally play tournaments, but really, I don't have the patience and heart for them. I've been playing live for about 5 years and it's more of an obsession than a hobby. I love this game.

I don't know what else to say. I tilt easily and sometimes I'm in a bad mood because of it, but most of them time I'm totally cool and approachable....and much for the LGBTQ community. (That's how I learned to write it because I graduated from Smith College. Some things just stick.)

Wow a girl forum on 2p2! Rofl!

I'm Ash, 23, from New Zealand (sheep, Lord of the Rings, Flight of the Conchords etc).

I've been playing poker for about 4 years now. Started out in pub poker games then moved online.
I grind MTTSNGs for a living, mostly 16-20 tables of 1,3&5/180s.
I love all the games though, my baby is HULHE & personal favourite is Badugi.
I don't play much live anymore, no such thing as a decent casino in NZ. Too many sheep or something. Plus I'd much rather sit at home in my pyjamas clicking buttons than grinding live cash @ 20 hands/hr with astronmical rake & dirty smelly old men.
I do plan on getting myself to some of the APPT/ANZPT tournies in the near future. Watch this space.

If there are any other girl grinders in here hit me up via PM! All of my grinding company is smelly boys & it would be totally cool to skype with a girl about nail polish etc

Hi Everyone
My name is Jenny I live in Miami Fl. At the moment I only play mtt nlhe tourneys but that might change once I move to Vegas later in the year . I tried the online thing but it wasnt for me, lately ive just been focusing on high limit blackjack due to my lackluster performace at the WPT. Need some time to lick my wounds and jump back in the saddle.

Im an analyst for an energy company but my aspirations are to open my own business, something in real estate or the car business would be nice.

Would be nice to meet you guys, if anyones up for a miami trip i'll be a great hostess

I change it around a lot, but the places I've played the most are Venetian and Bellagio, but I've spent a lot of time at Wynn, Aria and Mandalay Bay.

hi everyone! i'm a new vegas local, but longtime 2+2 lurker. my fiance is a local grinder, while i'm recreational. i used to play micro n/l on stars for fun and will play the occasional $1/$2 game when my fiance stakes me. he thinks i'm good, but i think i'm a donkey

good to see a forum for women on 2+2. while i don't think skill levels between genders are different, there are issues specific to women poker players (i.e., men ogling you). it's nice to be able to discuss these things here, and nice to meet you all

Hello Ladies,

Name's Jax, and I am brand spanking new on 2p2. I have read the forums a bit in the past but just decided to join and take part. You seem like some pretty awesome people.Let's see... I'm 26, a writer and I live in California. I was introduced to NLHE by my first boss in 2005, but didn't get super into until around 2009. I'm still not that great and looking to improve as much as possible.

I look forward to getting to know you all!
