Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Okay, my turn to step out of the dark.
i've been hanging around on 2+2 for a while, but never really posted anything. And i think it's a good time to change that now.

My name is Britt and i'm 26. i've been playing the lowest of the lowest stakes online, hoping that one day, i'll learn to play the game enough, to step up a little.

Also, i never had horses, nor did i want to be a vet...

i hope this forum stays around for a long time, liking it a lot so far.

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

thatpokergirl here.

I just graduated from fashion school and I have nothing to do after job hunting about two hours a day. So I play poker. Mostly just play money Rush (hehehe) and live low-stakes cash games at the local spots.

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Hello all!
A little history - I played poker for fun w/friends when I was younger, but learned NLHE in '08. Started playing online w/play money, began studying poker (a lot!), and have been playing micros now for about a year. Getting a little better each year. I play on Stars and like NLHE trnys and SNGs. Looking to make transition to cash games fairly soon, but need to get a HUD.

After I got a little better, I started playing live limit cash games and small trnys at my local casino and not doing too bad. I would have never had the nerve go into a card room w/o learning how to play, so I'm glad we have online to learn. Feel pretty comfortable there now. Been lurking at 2+2 for about 6 months and signed up last month. Great info. here! Wasn't sure how many other ladies were on this site, so good to meet you!

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Howdy hi all...

Foreverish lurker. Was taught to play poker by my dad when I could barely hold my cards. Never played in a casino in my life, have only played live in bar leagues & home games. Started playing online a couple of years ago but from time to time TheDayJob keeps me away for long stretches. I've never gotten super serious about playing, but lately am less fulfilled by the time-filling hobby nature and want to start to devote & kick more ass!

Very impressed by the company here. Looking forward to more time in this forum.

[X] Also considered vet school

Hi Everyone:

For those who don't know, we have just announced that our annual 2+2 Party will be held at The Wynn poker room this year. (See the thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...2011-a-999413/)

It's a little too early to bring this subject up, but in May when we start our RSVP thread, I can check back here to see if there is enough interest in having perhaps a pre-party coffee (or something similar) for our 2+2 ladies. If there's enough interest, I'll talk to Donna Harris and take it from there.

Best wishes,
Mason

Re: The Lady Across the Table-Introduction Thread

Hey all! I've been lurking on 2+2 for quite some time now and somehow never really noticed this forum. I'm Danielle, I mostly play NLHE on FT under the sn "dmoongirl" but have been transitioning into tournaments a bit more as of late. I'm finding I really like tournaments but prefer live to online. Traveling and playing the bigger live tournament requires quite the bankroll so i'm not able to play as many as i'd like but maybe someday

I did not go to Vet school, I graduated as a registered nurse last year but haven't really had a "real" job in seven years. I don't know much about horses but I do technically own one lol. My mom grew up on a farm with horses, moved to town and always talked and talked about how she'd someday own one again. So just a few months ago I bought her one. Her name is Dixie (the horse, not my mom ) and we are actually going through some health issues with her atm so maybe I can get some advice from all the vets in here at some point if needed!

Anyways, nice to sort of, meet you all?
