Howdy hi all...

Foreverish lurker. Was taught to play poker by my dad when I could barely hold my cards. Never played in a casino in my life, have only played live in bar leagues & home games. Started playing online a couple of years ago but from time to time TheDayJob keeps me away for long stretches. I've never gotten super serious about playing, but lately am less fulfilled by the time-filling hobby nature and want to start to devote & kick more ass!

Very impressed by the company here. Looking forward to more time in this forum.

[X] Also considered vet school

Hi Everyone:

For those who don't know, we have just announced that our annual 2+2 Party will be held at The Wynn poker room this year. (See the thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...2011-a-999413/)

It's a little too early to bring this subject up, but in May when we start our RSVP thread, I can check back here to see if there is enough interest in having perhaps a pre-party coffee (or something similar) for our 2+2 ladies. If there's enough interest, I'll talk to Donna Harris and take it from there.

Best wishes,
Mason

Hey all! I've been lurking on 2+2 for quite some time now and somehow never really noticed this forum. I'm Danielle, I mostly play NLHE on FT under the sn "dmoongirl" but have been transitioning into tournaments a bit more as of late. I'm finding I really like tournaments but prefer live to online. Traveling and playing the bigger live tournament requires quite the bankroll so i'm not able to play as many as i'd like but maybe someday

I did not go to Vet school, I graduated as a registered nurse last year but haven't really had a "real" job in seven years. I don't know much about horses but I do technically own one lol. My mom grew up on a farm with horses, moved to town and always talked and talked about how she'd someday own one again. So just a few months ago I bought her one. Her name is Dixie (the horse, not my mom ) and we are actually going through some health issues with her atm so maybe I can get some advice from all the vets in here at some point if needed!

Anyways, nice to sort of, meet you all?

Hello ladies!
My name is Rachel, I'm 32 and live in the dreary north east of england. I started playing poker in small sit n go's at a friends house and after a long time of watching my BF play online and do well I thought "I can have a go at this & be great at it, obv". Err, didn't quite work out like that... but I'm still trying. (I crushed the games at my friends tho).
I didn't go to university, although I considered being a vet when I was younger (basically thought I would spend all day covered in puppies, found out this was not the case and rejected the whole vet idea).
I'm a admin/secretary/pa type and I mainly donk about on sunday mornings when I'm hungover, and play dinky cash games with my friends on a saturday night, (all boys, good atmosphere though and no girl assumptions).
I have a tendency to waffle so I'm trying to keep it short (not suceeding lol)

This forum is full of win!

Hi Katie!
My other half says his graph was terrible and he kinda sucked at poker till he read Moshman's book (he did improve), and we used to sit and watch the stoxpoker videos that you and Collin did, and wanted to say that he really enjoyed them. I randomly quote things from the videos to annoy him sometimes

Thanks! Nice to hear-- we had so much fun making the videos together, and I'm glad that you guys enjoyed them.

Collin and I would love to do more videos together, but with both of us making vids for different sites it will likely be quite a while before this can happen again.

What kind of gay guy calls women "gals?" Must be one a them west of the Mississip gays. Personally, I think anyone with a name as great as "Protential" can post anyplace, gender irrelevant!

So, I'm maggie. I also watched the first episode of Star Trek live. Unfortunately in b&w. My dad wouldn't buy me a horse, he said it wasn't the cost, it was the upkeep. Couldn't be a vet, not smart enough. My cousin married a guy who then flunked out of vet school, so he became a people doctor.

Anyway, (say, have ya noticed yet I'm kinda long-winded and tend to digress?) wait.... where was i?...oh yeah....

So I play Razz. I play LHE live, because they don't spread Razz. Or HORSE. I play HORSE and PLO and just suck tidewater at NLHE. srsly - love to watch it and just do not get it

This is a good idea, but I think they should change the name to The Distaff Side. But this is good, too. It's nice in here.

I also write.

Wow, this is pretty cool - thank you to whoever got this going!

I've lurked 2+2 for quite awhile but have not really been too active, and had kind of turned to twitter/blogging for my #pokers outlet, so maybe TWSS will be an opportunity to change that. Sweet

I started playing online poker for fun (and just the play money) back in '05 around the time we were having our first (and so far, only!) baby. Got kind of hooked, but didn't have time to get really serious into it until about '09. Since then, I've kind of been hitting it with a vengeance. To the point where I am basically a part-time lawyer /slash/ part-time online grinder (which is not really that easy to do, but helps when you're (a) not your family's sole bread winner and (b) a solo practitioner w/ a (very) small core of clients and don't do litigation).

Anyway, I generally play NLHE MTTs on Stars and Bodog and Tilt and have recently begun really working on my cash game. Still at the $.10/.25 level, though.

As for vet school, I never considered it but I did graduate from Texas A&M (whoop). Does that count? =)

Look forward to following TWSS and hopefully meeting up in Vegas. I'll be there this summer from June 27 to July 7 trying to earn some WSOP buy ins.

Good luck ladies!
