This is pretty embarrassing, but several months ago I accidentally played the wrong playlist in my itunes on my laptop and Shania Twain's greatest hits were blaring for a while before I realized what had happened. Well, since then, I have found myself enjoying Shania's greatest hits while I grind. Like even the real drippy, sad love songs.
My bf is not thrilled. I play it really loud.

I generally don't listen to music while playing poker unless it's a live tournament. I have a "happy mix" that kicks off with "Untouched" by The Veronicas. Sometimes I'll play it on repeat a couple of times at the start of a tourney and will play it again (often on repeat) if I'm starting to feel tired or need to get over a bad beat / bad play. Something about the 80s feel to the song that keeps me going!

Usually I listen to The Killers, The Clash, Silversun Pickups, Muse, The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys... but lately I have been craving oldies.

I must look like the biggest dork in the world singing "Build Me Up Buttercup" at the top of my lungs with 24-tables up, lol.

I am remarkably good at finding a hidden "poker trueism" within every song.

I think I could grind to "let's go girls." Damn--now it is stuck in my head.

one of my big guilty pleasures is mashups. or booties as some call them.

I was big into this Bay area band called Blue Period, and when they broke up their lead singer Adrian started promoting a Bootie nightclub night in various cities. He puts out The Best of Bootie every year.

One of my all time favorites is this video mashup, combining bootie and glam rock, it just doesn't get any better than this. I'm in TRexstacy every time I play it.

I've been listening to the Inception soundtrack. It has a good mix of calming and amping up.

The latest Adele album is the BOMB. I'm pretty selective about listening to music though b/c sometimes it can be distracting. Adele, however, knows how to get me through. Highly recommend!
