This thread is different to to one in LVL because the focus is ladies being in Vegas. I thought having this would make planning for future meetups easier.

So, I'll be in Vegas...forever! Okay, seriously all summer except June 4th- 8th (for my little's sister's hs graduation).

I'll be in Vegas from now until I find a compelling reason to sell my house and move to a different city (not highly likely given current circumstances).

Definitely! I'm pretty sure we know people in common. Poker is a small world. Have you heard about the Milos lunch special? Everyone I know keeps raving about it.

I live in Vegas iirc. Don't really expect to go anywhere anytime soon.

For people looking to come to Vegas for extended periods on a budget, staying 3 nights for free @ the Riviera might be a good option. I think the promo in this thread is still good, but it's too late at night for me to actually check

wow, I was just going to post a thread like this because I'm coming to Vegas in May.

I'll be there May 11 to 22 for the BCA national 8 ball championships held at the Riviera, and be staying across the street at Circus Circus. A fair amount of the time I'll be playing , but would love to get together in between tournaments. Last year I had off the first Sunday, Monday and Tuesday after losing in doubles and open 8ball, and I think we were done with team by Friday after winning the trophy division championship.

I'm playing in the 9 ball singles, scotch doubles 8 ball, open women's 8 ball and women's open team 8 ball, but there should be some days where I'm free after getting knocked out. I doubt I'll be making the finals in all of them, be just happy to cash again in some.

Hopefully I can win some satellites into the WSOP and make a return trip. Glad to hear that folks are thinking about renting a place and such, it would be very cool to have women's house going.

Yay Lana!!!! Hi

I'm booked for June 24-July 2nd and then will be back for the main event but haven't set the dates for that yet. I might be out there earlier as well but that depends on how much action I sell/backing I get.

I also used to play BCA... But got tired of the traveling to the yucky bars around Dallas several nights a week. Still have my 9ft Olhausen table in my house tho

well, I'm in between right now, but qualified with the San Francisco Pool Assn. I've been playing with them for the 3+ years we've been up here. We actually are in the process of moving back to SoCal, so I'm playing in the Bay still while in between taking stuff down south and getting the house ready to sell.

Next season I'll probably play one of the West LA leagues, I'll be not far from the beach

Yeah, I'm not big on the bar scene either, never go in them really unless I'm playing a match. I much prefer pool halls and 9 ft tables, so hopefully I'll find an in-house league at one of the LA places.

If you want to trade contact info, maybe we could get together. I'd love to check out your table, not sure if I've ever played on Olhausen.

I've stayed there the last few trips to Vegas for pool, and it's not the Ritz but seems comfortable enough to me. I'm coming in Wed night because I'm playing the 9 ball singles before doubles and 8 ball singles start on Fri and Sat.

Where are you playing/coming from?

Really depends on how picky you are. I've stayed there on separate occasions in the past before I moved to LV. The rooms are similar to what you'd find in a slightly older Comfort Inn. IIRC, the water pressure in the shower was surprisingly good. However, one of the towers faces onto an outdoor court that blasts really loud music late at night, so you'll want to avoid that.

When I used to visit LV, I generally used my room for little more than sleeping 4 hours a night and taking a shower. The convenience to Venetian (my poker room of choice at the time) and other center-Strip properties and ridic low price was more important to me than the quality of the room.

I'm from Canada....born in the east but living out west now. I'm playing the singles and teams. I used to be a really good player (3rd place finish in Canada) but now i never play so i'm just going for a vacation.

I actually like the Imperial Palace! I know it's not the nicest place but it's super cheap and couldn't be more centrally located on the strip. Also, it's not exactly a hot bed for poker but when you are just up for having a good time the 1/2 tables are always crazy soft and fun. I'll probably be staying there when i'm in Vegas this summer. I hate paying a crazy price for a room i'm almost never going to be in.
