Maybe after a few years of getting sucked out on you just get numb to it. It doesn't seem to crush my soul the way it used to when someone would hit their one or two outer.

haha yeah the laptop is probably a good idea when your titlting...the amount of times i have wanted to slam it closed after a beat, but you cant because yes its too expensive.

I have been on a desktop computer and kind of slammed the mouse down before and it broke :S oops

Folding 93o for hours and the new guy sits down at the table and gets AA, KK, AK, JJ in their first 30 minutes.

Folding 93o for hours while watching the stack of the absolute worst player at the table grow and grow.

Jealousy tilts me

So I pull out my ipod, read a book, talk a walk, maybe go rail a friend for a while. This is still the tilt i have trouble dealing with the most because live poker is so slow.
Yup that is always a tough situation, being card dead, highly frustrating!
Especially when you have chipped up and are near the leaderboard and get all excited but then just hit nothing and your chip stack just wastes away.

I always get frustrated when it seems everytime time you raise, everyone just seems to keep coming over the top of you.

Yeah I don't recommend screwing with a laptop. After a $10/20 session of limit triple draw with someone I would have drove to in my metro area to play live if my g/f wouldn't have killed me...I dropped $1k in 20 minutes to this triple draw ~fish who dodged everything I drew to with his ****ty pat hands. Even he admitted in chat he was running good. He may have won $40k lifetime in the MTT database, but I still want to play him even right now...haha Needless to say, I'm still pissed...

Anyway, after crossing that $1k loss mark...I firmly hit the area where the mouse pad is located. The pressure I put on it was enough to **** up the motherboard. Fortunately, it was still under warranty, and I claimed an "accident". As a result, I'm still typing to you on the same laptop, no longer under warranty, today.

Re: How do you deal with Tilt?

one thing i noticed about tiling is i make better decisions because i have more time to think about the decision. i can auto fold obviously spots while thinking about something.... when you stack you have to make your decision before moving on to the next hand

Re: How do you deal with Tilt?

For me anger = tilt. That's really the only thing that can tilt me. The anger towards a player who makes some silly moves and gets paid off due to the insane hits on the board
