Re: The_Dean221 MTT Coaching

Keep all the posts coming guys, I've been off for a few days for Christmas and the new Year, but will contact everyone at the start of next week. It's been a great 2014 with lots of big wins for my students:

WCOOP Warmup for 110k, Sunday Storm, Bigger 22, Micro Main on .FR, 3rd in Million

Keep up the great work guys. I can't wait to see what 2015 has to offer!

Grayson

Re: The_Dean221 MTT Coaching

I've been a student of Gray's now for 6months and regularly have weekly sessions with him.

As a coach, he is able to clearly articulate his thought processes in each scenario or situation with clarity. Sometimes, I just don't understand.. but then he's able to break it down to a more simplistic concept/analogy which I can relate to. Sometimes, we get down to nitty gritty details, and he's able to switch to that level. Sometimes, he is unsure of what to do in some tough situations.. he won't presume to know the answer. He breaks down the scenario in variations - problem solving. You will get involved. What ever the scenario/situation you will contribute in the conversations - alot. It's not a one-sided lesson. As time goes on, you will develop a relationship outside of poker. If he's available, and you're running deep, he will rail and give you that support. This is what I want in a coach.

Remember back in school or uni or professional institutions, those teachers/lecturers/instructors who speak in 1 tone and bore the hell out of you? This is not Gray.
Ever hand those trainers, where there's probably a little too much "fluff", constant digressions, or simply can't explain themselves well enough? This is not Gray.
Ever had those trainers that do alot of "ummmm" or "hmmmm" or awkward silences? This is not Gray.

There have been many testimonials in this thread.. students from everywhere, each playing at different levels. To be able to coach students to a degree of success/achievement shows he is actually able to effectively teach/educate students to assist progression in his/her game. To be able to do this with many students from all walks of life and experience levels also indicates he has a vast amount of experience with the game itself.

***Just because you are a top 10 winner in cashes or crush xyz stakes or whatever, does not ever mean you know how to teach or educate others. Many people simply don't have the ability to do this. ***

Recommend Highly

Re: The_Dean221 MTT Coaching

Hello everyone,

I have been working with Grayson for almost an year now.

I will make this a quick review cause Displus above put it so well i don't think i can put it in better terms, read his review above

I want to point also that Grayson is easy to work with, he communicates his ideas very well even for those which english is not their first language, hes approachable to look at hands or rail when its not your lesson time, always in a good mood and ready to help you out.

But my main point i want to make here is that you will be hard pressed to find better value, better bang for your buck anywhere else, specially if you buy a package of 10+ hours. You won't find a better coach with these hourly rates.

Highly recommended

Re: The_Dean221 MTT Coaching

Thanks for reaching out, I e-mailed you both. In regards to the new prices, it is currently correct as reflected in the original post, but I'll post it here as well for future reference for inquiring students.

"My rates are $100/hour for 1-3 hours, $85/hr for 5 hours, $75/hr for 10 hours (most popular), $65/hr for 20+. I also offer cheaper options and rates for "team lessons" (2 people), PM me for details."

Keep the PMs and posts coming guys, looking to add 2-3 new students per month typically. Look forward to hearing from you all.

I'm currently a coach and training site pro over at Pocketfives Training, where I film videos and have ranked as high as #17 in the world prior to Black Friday. I was backed and mentored by Alex "AJKhoosier1" Kamberis for two years, before becoming backed by Chris Moorman for the following two years leading up to BF. I've been an MTT regular since 2005, and have never had a losing year. Since Black Friday, I've redirected my focus towards coaching/training, and am currently taking on a couple new students.

I've had success teaching players at any and all levels, from micros to HSMTTs. I came up playing mid stakes for years, and know exactly what it takes to crush MSMTTs and even more importantly, what it takes to make the jump to high stakes. My lessons revolve around hand history analysis/dissection, providing me all of the information needed to spot and plug any leaks you might have in your game. Whether you're a low stakes player looking to make the jump to mid, or a MSMTT regular hoping to learn what separates themselves from HSMTTers, I can be of service. My rates are $100/hour for 1-3 hours, $85/hr for 5 hours, $75/hr for 10 hours, $65/hr for 20+. I also offer cheaper options and rates for "team lessons" (2 people), PM me for details.

If you're interested in what coaching/mentoring with me consists of, please send me a PM and I'll give you a thorough description. Unlike many coaches, I never take on too many students, and maintain a personal and in-depth relationship with each and every one of my students. I am accessible to them at any and all hours of the day, and am constantly chatting/talking about the game with them through e-mail/Skype outside of normal lesson/coaching hours.

If you have any questions for me, don't hesitate to send me a PM. Also, if you'd be interested in asking any of my students questions about my coaching style, I know they'd gladly do so. As I mentioned earlier, I won't take on too many students due to the amount of attention I like to give each one, so get in touch with me ASAP before the spots fill up. Thanks for your time.

Grayson

Re: The_Dean221 MTT Coaching

Hey Grayson,

I'm definitely interested. I just joined this site and unfortunately they are not allowing me to IM yet.

I'm looking to build a good relationship with a solid coach for the long term. I work full-time, but play poker part-time mostly live in Connecticut. Please contact me at v_gracie05@yahoo.com with details. Thanks.
