re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

RRReyeMMM I really feel you're stuck between two different approaches. You weren't happy with the course material as you felt it wasn't aggressive enough and the new approach you came up with by yourself wasn't successful. Contact me on Skype and we'll use your last session to get you back on track with the course material.

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Got RRReyeMMM on track at last he's beating the micros now:

Also have 3 students on the $36-$100 leaderboard, all of them making at least 10k a month with rakeback.

So if you're interested in coaching, I have spots open starting from the 6th of Feb (this week is booked out).

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I have had the pleasure of being coached by Cog Dis in both: hyper and turbo HU SNGs (in the order, as listed here).
While it has not been my first professional coaching overall, his 'starter package' (the 4 hour course which he offers) has been the first HU SNG coaching which I ever received.

Choseing Paul, I have not only found a teacher who took a real PERSONAL interest in the success of his student, but also a teacher who does not tell me "do this and do that" but instead teaches you how to think about certain actions and teaches you in detail how to put the picture together. For me, this is teaching on the highest level, simply, because it helps my personal style to improve.

Furthermore, I would like to mention that Paul works very structured and also answered tons of questions (I did really not hold back *lol*) outside of the coaching hours, very quickly.

Hey I made promise to Paul that I will change my negative feedback if things will change...And I am happy I can do that nowAfter my last post Paul immediately contacted me and I was talking with him a lot also I was consulting all theoretical things what I find on the internet or get from poker friends...It was all for free! Paul also made leakfinder video what was focused on my tilting while I was running bad and this absolutly changed my mindset..This video was also for free!Basicly I was attacking Paul with my questions everytime I got some and he is such nice person that he was answering and I felt that he want to make me a better player. He finally made me understand what I am doing and why, no copying others or his style anymore.
Here is my graph + I have about 200 games on other pc with a same ev adjusted roi...Its all hyper turbo husngs and I started at 7s

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

After three hours of coaching, my EV line is going UP UP UP (running bad atm in real dollars unfortunately) and i feel that i am beating the games.
Will actually move up even if i'm running bad because of feeling so comfortable playing anyone.
Will update this thread when i run g00t
Obviously i recommend Paul to anyone seeking coaching!

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Just finished my 4hours course Hypers course

I've taken the $400 course with a bankroll of $800 while playing the 7s. I was already a winning player but because I decided Im going for a full time pro I thought it was a + EV move and in no doubt it definitely was. Cog is a great teacher and Ive bombed him with tons and tons of questions once in a while and he responds to them very fast. In addition, he is willing to keep sending me his HH in the future (for free) which are very helpful in improving my game.

I'd just like to recommend to anyone who is seriously wanting to improve to take his course, he does not have any losing students and he has taught so many players. I believe Ill maintain a 3.5%+ ROI in the long run.

Thanks

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Hey guys,

I recently finished Cog's HyperTurbo Course after spending some time thinking I was playing decently but without getting results (was breakeven-ish over 2k games or so). I've gotten SnG coaching before but Paul's course was easily the best coaching I've received.

He's a natural teacher who easily breaks down complex concepts and supplies you with a framework for thinking about poker. He's totally accommodating, generous with his time outside of sessions, and an extraordinarily nice guy to boot.

Over my last 1k games, I have ~4% ROI and am moving to the 8s very shortly. His course has already paid for itself.

If you have any interest in really improving and seeing results, get in touch with Paul. I can't recommend his coaching highly enough; I only wish I had gotten it sooner!

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Just finished the last session of the hyperturbo course yesterday. I must say I really enjoyed it and of course the fact I learned a ton from it is a nice bonus

In the first sessions he explained the basic or default strategy to play against an unknown opponent. In the second he explained how to play against the other player types like LAG, TAG, ... After the theoretical explanation we always played a few matches at the playmoney tables to get a better grasp on the theory.
Third session we reviewed some of my hand histories which obviously helped a lot in exposing my leaks and more fundamental in understanding why these are leaks. It's imho infinitely better to not just know what you need to do but to really understand why you should make a certain play. And Paul is very good at making you understand the thoughtprocess behind every play.
The last session we reviewed some of his hand histories. More specific some hands I had questions on why he made a certain play.

I'm very happy I made the decision the get coaching. I've been playing recreational poker for years but really wanted to move up to the next level and this was definitely a good way to do so.

Since the start of the coaching I've played about 1000 $7 hypers on stars and my allin ev graph is nice and steady uphill at 5.9% ROI.

Well worth it's money!

Paul helped me to improve my game in a really short period of time. This graph shows my results in September, 99% of the games were 60$ hypers. I can recommend Paul highly for anybody .

We're always having fun in our lessons btw, which is pretty important imo to feel comfortable .

Best regards and gl at the tables,

B

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I was struggling player on 3.5s ht husng. After lessons with Paul I've started to play more confidently. He explained basic strategy and pointed my problems out.
I've rushed through 7s with 8% evroi (1200 tournaments) and now try to play 15s.
Obviously recommend! He's strong like a bear!
