re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Just finishing the fundamentals course so thought I'd post my thoughts. I'd been playing 9 man SNGs for a while, decided to have a crack at HU and promptly got my ass handed to me.. So I signed up for Paul's fundamentals course. I've been very impressed with the structure of the course, the way Paul teaches you to recognise/adapt to the style of you opponent and apply a relevant strategy to beat them. Paul puts all this across in a clear and friendly way and I feel he has helped accelerate my learning curve significantly. Recommended.

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Paul is the man. I have the pleasure to spend some time with him personally (and watch him play) and I can tell you he is a Master in reading Poker.

Can definitely teach how to be a winning player and how to succeed on the tables.

I couldn't appreciate more the time he spent with me and all the knowledge he shared.

If you want to increase your HUSNG level... talk to this man here.

Great friend, great person, great mind.

Thanks bro,
The Bull

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Had my first 3 lessons of his Fundamental Course so far. And just these 3 lessons alone changed completely how I play and how I look at the games. He really helped me understanding how to identify the specific opponents and then how to defeat them.

I watched a lot of videos, read a lot but I just could not get it done. I was just a breakeven player. I had a very set style with rasing preflop and cbetting and beeing tight oop. But it just brought me into a lot of tough situations and uncomfortable situations because I didn`t suit my style enough to the specific opponents. And Paul made it seem so easy. He is a great teacher and I just can`t believe how he could improve my game so fast. Really looking forward to the next lesson(s).

Oh and I think this graph looks nice (except the first 800 SNG that are kinda gross)

$10s HUSNGs mostly the first 700, after that 20s and a few 30s

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Just finished my fundamentals course with Paul. He's a great coach as well as a great guy. My HUSnG game was pretty aimless before Paul's coaching, but Paul teaches you how to approach your opponents based on their style of play and exploit it. Now I have a solid game plan for every opponent within the first 5-10 hands of the match.

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Before getting caoching from Paul I was in way over me head, I was amongst the biggest loosing players around.
Paul showed me the different playing styles and how to adjust
my play to them and start taking advantage of them. I reccomend Pual as a coach,
he has such a terrific nature, as well as exceptional comunication skills and a lot of patients with students he is coaching.
He has such an extrordinary understanding of poker Above all else he has taken me from a loosing player into a long term winning player in
the shortest amount of time that I never thought was possible. If you ever get coahed by
Paul dont be afraid to ask him anything to do with poker, he is always happy to answer
all questions and then explains everything you ask so you understand it all very clearly.
I take my hat off to Paul, if he can change my poker abilility around, he can help anyone.

How long did you guys get coached by him before feeling confident that your game had actually improved? I'm interested in doing a few sessions.

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I started playing HU after being successful at 9max. But HU became a nightmare for me - started at 33$ turbos, even though I could start playing higher, because of BR. Dropped pretty quickly to 11$ (took me about 500 games).
I thought that I'd be ok, read all the articles on the net, watched videos at CR...

Thankfully I found this thread and Cog agreed to take me as a student - I took the begginers coaching pack and since that my game significantly changed.

It told me, how to read my opponent tendencies and how to exploit them.
Since the coaching I'm running incredible great and will move up to 50$ this week.

Heres my great graph (about the first 20 games I played before the coaching was finished).

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I'm currently a student of Cog's and we're 3 of 4 lessons in and I've already improved so much. I'm a regular at the $11s but just took a shot at a live HU tourney and took 2nd thanks to Cog for an almost $8k score. He's the real deal and I'm really happy I hired him!

Re: HUSNG Coaching (Primarily Low-Mid Stakes)

Donkey, fish, lagtard, guppy, etc….. No matter the pejorative term one uses describing a bad player, I freely admit to fitting the description. Delusional and in denial, I thought I was a decent player that was getting unlucky. I was going through the process of building a bankroll only to have it destroyed by my bad play or bad luck so I told myself. I was reading the forums one day when I decided to browse the coaching thread. I went through the list and after a bad run, returned and found Cog Dissonance. I was reluctant to spend the money because, still delusional, I figured how much could this guy really teach an unlucky expert like me? Haha, a freaking ton as it turns out.

A little background on me, I am a total amateur with no real professional aspirations. If you have big aspirations, contact Paul NOW! I was struggling in the 5 and 10 games when I started with Paul. In fact, I had 80 dollars profit in 800 games. I think Paul’s lessons were paid in a week. I went through the beginner course and it was amazing how horrid I was. I never considered opponent types, bet sizing and a lot of the other fundamentals Paul teaches. My initial goal was to steadily make 100 bucks a week, now I can make that on most days playing 1 – 1.5 hours a day. I’ve moved (easily) up in limits from 5 and 10 to 20 and 30 and Paul is now working me through the 50’s and above. Today I averaged $12 profit per game. We had a sweat session and I went 4 for 5 and the loss was result of a poorly played hand by me (Paul said DON'T DO THAT and I did not listen).

I know this is long but I could use another page attempting to convey how valuable Paul’s coaching is. Finally, Paul teaches a lot more than how to play the game, he teaches you how to play the player and turn their style against them! Contact Paul now if you have an interest in making money. Seriously, send him a message NOW!

Hi Paul,

For whatever reason the PM function has been frozen to me, and I am unable to respond to the PM thread that we had.

I sent a note on Skype as well. I would like to proceed with your intro course if you are still willing. Let me know and I'd love to lock up the dates!

Thanks!

I just finished Paul's course and it has been extremely helpful. He presents his course in a way that anyone can benefit. I started at the 10s and now I am just about rolled for the 50s. The results speak for themself.

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I was going to wait to have played 1000 games after Paul's coaching before to post a convincing chart here, but every day that passes I feel guilty for not posting here as I owe the guy SO MUCH.

I haven't had a coach before and I was quite an experience player but with average results ~4% ROI. I wanted to learn more on exploiting my opponents so I decided to get Paul as a coach. Before that, I had purchased videos from other winning players. Some were instructive and very good (xSCWx) and some a complete rip off (won't name him)! But NOTHING compares to Paul's coaching.

He has experience in teaching and can get his point across very clearly and with an ROI of over 15% over 1000's of games his skills are not in doubt! Paul is somewhat of an unconventional player (agressive small baller) and is an extremely nice guy. I have learnt tons during his course! Not only what he taught me in the course itself, but his whole attitude to the game, the ways he thinks about hands and tons more that I am sure HE doesn't even know he taught me.

Paul genuinely cares about his students: straight after his coaching I got into a very bad spot. After 3 bad beats, I played like a galloping moron, on tilt, for 10H straight. The effect on my roll was devastating, I was upset for being so stupid. I saw Paul on Skype and told him what happen. After politely telling me how much of an idiot I had been, Paul very kindly offered to give me more coaching to put me back on the right track. When Paul offered me that extra coaching FOR FREE I was frankly stunned (and ashamed of myself). But it was the best thing that never happen to me.

After the FREE 1h30 that Paul very kindly offered, I also decided to get a membership to HUSNG.com to be able download all of his videos. I spent 3 days watching them and studying his game.

The amount of money I paid Paul for his coaching is ridiculous compare to what I got out of it! Paul completely transformed my game and the ways I think about the game. I owe the guy so much that I will never thank him enough.

I’ll let you judge the results for yourself with 2 graphs one before coaching, one after.

PS: I know it's irrellevant but I just had to say it : I really like his sens of humour too.
