Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

My story
My name is Paul and I've been playing poker professionally for over 7 years. During that time I have coached hundreds of students, helping them become successful. Some have even gone on to become professional poker players.

My course
I'm currently focusing on spin and go's and have developed a course which will help you crush this format.
The course is 4 x 60 minute sessions, one on one with myself and costs $495.

Spin and go results

Chip ev at 30's

Chip ev at 60's

I've been working tirelessly at this format, as you can see from the chip ev in my last 3k games.
79 chips per game

The course includes
2 sessions focusing on preflop and postflop strategy for both 3 way and heads up play, including charts at all different blind levels. These sessions also show you how to adjust to LAG TAG and loose passive opponents.

2 sessions of intense leak-finding, where we go over you game in minute detail, looking for not only leaks, but also barreling opportunities, bluffing spots, betsizing and other creative plays.

Extra information
Hundreds of my games for you to study, so you can see exactly how I play in every different spot.

I record all the sessions for you to review at your leisure and I offer refunds of any unused sessions if you can't complete them for any reason, no questions asked.

The course contains quite a lot of information and will require you to work hard, but if you do, there's no reason you cannot become very successful in this format.

Native Ukrainian speaker fluent in Russian and Ukrainian is available for spin coaching, teaching my materials. So if you don't speak English, you can still learn to crush Spins.

Paul did a video for my site and conveyed his thoughts well. I'd recommend him to any low to mid stakes players looking for a good husng coach. He's particularly skilled in reading and adapting to his opponents.

Don't be turned off by the low post count - Paul is one of the HUSNG players I respect most and has a fantastic poker mind. As ChiRy mentioned, he's very good at adapting to opponents, and explaining not just why a move in one particular situation is standard, but how the reasoning for why applies to so many other common spots so that you can patch up your biggest leaks. Definitely recommend.

Yup, very nice video. And his playstyle varies from the "typical" 2+2 approach to HUSNGs, which makes his coaching offer fairly interesting.

Is that video still up on HUSNG?

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Well i got into contact with Paul about 2 months ago. Since then my game has gone from being good to crushing.

I was grinding $30s for about a 10% ROI, i'm currently playing $50s and i've increased my HU ROI to 13%. I'm confident that with Paul's coaching and advice i'll be playing $100s in a month or so depending purely on how much volume i play.

Paul is a great poker mind. I was playing a very set style before i contacted Paul. I would just raise my button, c-bet and generally be aggro. That was enough to beat the majority of my competition but this guy got me really thinking about every game and every decision i make at the table.

He doesn't teach a prescribed style, but instead teaches you how to think about poker. You can really get into the head of your opponents and pick their game to pieces because Paul shows you how to exploit every different style of player and how to identify those styles to begin with.

We've talked over draws, limping, bluffing, dealing with aggros and a million other things in the last couple of months and my game has improved tremendously.

I was happily hitting $1k months before i met Paul but now i'm incredibly confident in my game and myself to the point where $3k months are no longer a dream.

Can't thank this guy enough for what he has done for my game and my bankroll.

Cheers,

Greg.

Here's my graph for HU SNG.I had a $500 downswing induced by tilt and poor play, then a small breakeven stretch which made me seek coaching.

I began coaching with Paul around game 750.

As you can see my results were good but progress was slow in comparison to my profit since i got coaching.

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I just got my first session with Paul and it was great.
I asked him to help me on identifying opponent types and making the right adjustments to them, and I have to say he did a very good job at it.
He let me play a few hands and then start to ask some questions about the opponent and what my strategy would be for this particulair opponent, he corrects me and explains very clear how I should play that player.

We got in 90 minutes of sweating and I have to say he really knows what he's doing.
Also he's a very caring guy, I think he even felt bad because I was running that bad lol.

I can recommend Paul to anybody who wants to improve at heads up play. Be quick before he realizes how good he is and starts to increase his rates

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I feel like posting my results here to help other people take a chance and contact Paul about his coaching sessions/program and also to help him out because he is a really nice guy that is always worried about my progress and backing me up with support or pointing out mistakes when i show him hh or when we randomly discuss strat or whatever. I feel the best credentials for a coach are his students results, that tells that he isnt only good as a player, he is good at a teacher (well obv bc he IS a teacher)

I started working with Paul on April 9th, and now less than a month after i have earned more than his full hu fundamentals course. Disclaimer: I dont have THAT much time to put volume but look at the results closely, 25 hours, nothing more to say.

and the graph:

This is all $10 reg speed on FTP, with 2-3 times trying to move up to $20s reg speed running terribly, except this last time (today) when finally my hands held up!

Guess i should chime in to thank Paul here.

Won the $20k Guaranteed Heads-up shootout on Full Tilt last night, for $9,000 first prize.

Wouldn't have been able to win it without this mans help these last few months so thanks very much mate.

Went from $8k lifetime profit to $17k and to think i only had $2k lifetime profit before i got coaching from you man!!

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

Just like to echo all the previous posts in recommending Paul as a HUSnG coach. Ive just finished my 4th and final session of the Fundamentals course with Paul and it has been worth every cent. The guy is a very good teacher, gets his points across really well and as was said before, takes a real interest in his students.
Just to also mention that Paul had to cancel a session due to connection problems and is throwing in an extra free session to compensate me, a gesture that was not required but speaks volumes about him.

Paul is one of the best coaches I have worked with so far. He was my first HU SNG coach I ever hired, and I definitely do not regret signing up for his package. He first taught me the fundamentals essential to becoming a winning HU SNG player. Then he has helped me analyze the HU opponent and using an effective strategy to combat. Paul is always on time and works with his students on a personal level.

Have also recently finished the fundamentals course, and feel that Paul's coaching has totally transformed my game.

I appreciate this is a very small sample, but here are my results since completing Paul's course (I was a breakeven player before this):

re: Spin and Go coaching with Cog Dissonance

I got into cantact with Paul a few weeks ago because I wanted to learn a new game to broaden my game selection. He suggested that I should take his “Heads Up Fundamentals“ course which I did.

As a successful limit Hold’em heads up player my line of thoughts was way to static which has given me a very hard time to adapt to the no limit envoirnment.
Paul not only taught my how to look at the game from a no limit perspective but also showed me how to identify various types of players quickly and exploit their weaknesses all of which he did in a very comprehensive fashion with the help of ,for example, powerpoint slides.

Although I do not put in a lot of hours in these games I can say that working with Paul has been great for my confidece at NL HUSNGs and I now have a game to mix it up if I should ever get bored and still be a winner.

Paul is also not only a great NL HUSNG coach but a very nice guy with whom I had lots of fun throughout our sessions and I will gladly book him again after I put in more SNGs to imrpove my game further.

Thanks Paul, keep up the good work

Yup, would just like to add my positive review of Paul's coaching.

I was brand new to HU sngs and so I did the fundamentals course. Upon finishing, I now feel really confident in my ability and more importantly, know how to keep improving. My results since the course have been really good. Paul is a good guy, has good HU skills and has a fine knack of expressing his thoughts across the lessons.

Definitely recommended!
