Re: Providing MTT Coaching at all limits

I've watched tons of his video on CR b4 I took the cocahing with him and I would say the HH review sessions were totally great, he not only point out the leak(or questionable play) but also went in details to discuss with you . I honestly find my game improved alot after he pointed out my biggest leak which is 3betting range too narrow, I now feel comfortable of keeping a 9% 3bet rate(for about 500ish mtts) after the coaching compared to my previous 2k MTTs poor 3% or something. Result wise, My Nov(we started our coaching at the end of Oct.) give me almost 20k profit which help me get out of the 250BI downswing . Plus one very important thing, Matt is a very kind person,I remember the 1st seesion we did I was late for 1 hour (Tho not totally my fault I was late because I forget the daylight saving was adjusted so the time gap between US and UK is changed) He just waited for me for one hour without any complains or extra charge .
So in all, Matt is a great coach and a very kind person and it's def worth the price (I dont know the quality of other coaching that charges 400/h but I dont really see anything that Im not satisfied during the coaching session)

Re: Providing MTT Coaching at all limits

I had my first session with Matt and I am more than pleased. His HH review was phenomenal, giving me great insight into my MTT weaknesses.

His method of reviewing a HH and writing his notes prior to our session is great. It allows me to focus on and ask questions about the hands that I'm still unsure of. And since we doing this over IM, I have a thorough, customized text that I can reference and re-study.

I should also mention that I was late AND we went overtime and he was completely understanding of both. I'm definitely looking forward to our future sessions.

Re: Providing MTT Coaching at all stakes

ohudac,

I thought about it for a while, and I think I probably just won't provide them to anyone other than my students. Ultimately I just can't decide on a reasonable price -- I think the resteal study in particular is one of those things that loses value the more widespread it becomes, so I think keeping it exclusive to my students helps preserve it's value to them. Also I just have no idea what I'd charge for it. So the answer is that they are priceless!

Re: Providing MTT Coaching at all stakes

MikeyT,

I'm sure I could help, but I wouldn't consider any form of 180mans to be my "specialty" or anything like that. At the end of the day though, poker is poker and as long as you can learn to accurately assess ranges in a situation and use that information to make the best decision possible, you're going to do fine. But someone who plays those tournaments all the time might be able to give you a better idea of the sorts of ranges those players have. You might consider checking out iSport or The Lipo Fund, both of whom coach and have a lot more experience in those tournaments.

naptune,

I'm pretty sure I haven't received a message from you.

All,

I've been pretty overwhelmed by coaching requests lately, so just as a heads up, while you should still feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested in coaching, you should bear in mind that I might not have availability until as late as sometime in early March. But if you'd like to lock up a spot for when I become available, send me a PM and let me know. Thanks for all the interest.
