Providing MTT Coaching at all stakes
Short and sweet version: CardRunners Video Instructor, have played MTTs professionally for last three years, have played at all stakes, from the micros to 15Ks, have been coaching for a little over a year with almost universally positive feedback (and improved results), am currently charging $150/hr with bulk discounts available.
Apart from that, I wanted to copy and paste this e-mail I sent to an old student of mine which basically just explains "what I do":
-----
So in terms of what I actually do, this is pretty much it:
First I'll send you a MTT strategy outline, which broadly covers almost every concept in MTT play. This is just meant as an introduction and a reference for beginning players to make sure they aren't straying too far from good, solid play, but it helps experienced players as well to be reminded of fundamentals from time to time.
I also have just finished creating a resteal study, which outlines profitable 3betting ranges given various opening ranges and positions. I think this is very useful, although depending on what level you are at it could either be over your head or elementary. But this will be available to all of my students.
Then in terms of the individualized coaching, I think it's best to start off with a HH review, which consists of me going through a tournament where you went deep hand-by-hand, and picking out specific hands where you made mistakes, and then translating those into more generalized leaks that you can plug, and ways you can plug them. Some of this will require homework on your part -- for instance, a comment I've made to almost every one of my students, who are almost universally pushbotting far too tight, is to get their hands on SNGPT or SNGWiz and spend some time getting comfortable with profitable pushing ranges (and I'll talk about some strategies to reach this comfort level quicker and more effectively).
But on top of that I'll be giving advice on every hand, and this advice is really always going to be tailored to your skill level. Some of my students are at the point where they have the fundamentals down, and they need to be thinking about when and why their opponent's opening and 3bet ranges are changing, or finding spots when they can two-barrel profitably, whereas some students need it explained why limping K9s UTG with 12BBs isnt profitable. It's just student-specific, and by the end of the first session I usually have a pretty good idea for where you're at, and we can move forward from there.
After that, we can either do another HH review if you're interested in that, or we can do a live-skype sweat session, where you play and describe your thought process to me as you make each decision, so that we can really get down to the nitty gritty of your decisionmaking and make sure that you are approaching the game in the right way. All the hand advice in the world isn't going to help if you're just taking it at surface level and not changing your approach to thinking about the game and every hand you play. Additionally, after several students expressed interest in it, I've also recently started conducting a Skype-sweat session where you sweat me, and I just talk you through my decision-making during a hand. So that will be available to you as well.
That's about it. My rate is $100/hr (although I do offer discounts for bulk hour purchases). Let me know if you're interested, and let me know specifically what times work for you (typically the first session is 2 hours -- an hour spent on my part reviewing the HHs, and then an hour with you going over those notes and discussing them with you, answering your questions, etc. I'll also always e-mail you my notes about it so that you will always have access to them. Thanks for reading and let me know if you're interested.
-----
So yeah! If you guys are interested just send me a PM (and if you're a new member and can't do that, just make a post in this thread with your e-mail address). Coaching (and getting those great messages from students telling me they just binked a big score) is one of the most fun and rewarding things I've been able to do through poker, so I'm looking forward to working with you guys.

Matt is a great player and anyone wanting to become a substantial winner at MTT's would do themselves a great service to gain his services.

Re: Providing MTT Coaching at all limits
Hey,
I just had my first coaching session with mlagoo last night....huge eye opener. He has a very deep understanding of the MTT game, which I intend to develop as well through his personal coaching.
I learned more in one session than I have in the last year, reading books and the like. He showed me at least four big leaks in my game , that once corrected, I know will improve my results immensely.
The new price of $125 is still a steal imo...get on that waiting list!
I'll keep you posted on future results.

Re: Providing MTT Coaching at all limits
This was me (poorly veiled brag). Matt has been an integral piece in my progression as a poker player and there's no question that his coaching has improved my game far beyond what i ever imagined it would be. I've been getting coached by Matt for about 5 months now (about 1 or 2 lessons a month), and highly recommend him. Please note...in order to get anything out of this coaching, you gotta be dedicated to implementing the concepts that Matt teaches in your game.
Often times people whom are experts in a particular field, are not quite experts within the realm of teaching.....not so with Matt. I found his style to be honest, laid-back, and very knowledgable. Whether he's reiterating the fundamentals or diving into more complex concepts, he presents it an easy to understand format. His flexibility extends to his teaching style as well. Coaching took place in many different types of sessions including, HH review, sweating (discussing a hand you just played over Skype is an invaluable resource), and strategy essays written by Matt.
At $150/hr you'd be crazy not take advantage of his coaching. Many coaches of similar top tier quality charge in the realm of $300/hr.
P.S. Almost didnt post this b/c i didnt want Mlagoo trained grinders eventually splashing around in the same pots as me....EV killer imo

Re: Providing MTT Coaching at all limits
Just thought I'd add my 2c in on this too. Have had a session with Matt + numerous random AIM musings. His session was very concise, well planned & thorough. I sent him a HH, he combed through it, and went through in detail, all the spots in which any error was made or was marginal. This really helped identify & plug a few glaring leaks I had. I've arranged for another session to take place soon. In between sessions, Matt has been accessible whenever I've had a question over a hand I've played. He's also sweated some FT's I've made & given me some great feedback after them.
All in all, the kid is $$ well spent, he provides a very professional service & is a cool dude to boot.

I was so excited when I saw the first price of 80 an hour.
Damn supply and demand.
