Heads Up SNG Coaching (As Low As ) Heads Up SNG Coaching (As Low As )

My first coaching

I would certainly recommend Ryan as a coach. I've just had hh reviewed pretty clearly and I got my additional questions answered to either exact hands or certain situations not only concerning the particular hands played.

Very nice guy. Helped me to clear a few things up and showed me some that I didn't pay too much attention to before.

Really appreciate his time spent on clarifying some ideas and responding.

Certainly worth its price!

I'm on skype and AIM too and have no problem setting up sessions or answering questions there if you prefer.

I was thinking about doing one of the recorded video sessions. What program would you suggest I use to record my sessions?
03-29-2011 , 01:37 PM
CamStudio is free and you can get some high quality (and very large) .avi files out of it.

If you haven't used Camtasia Studio, it's not free, but you can use it for free for 30 days. You might want to do an mp4 file or perhaps wmv with that program. I haven't had any issues with .avi or mp4 quality that students have given me.

sent a hand history along to rypac, he sent it back within 48 hours, he also e mailed me telling me when he would have it back to me,
he puts his ideas on lines you should of taken on hands in simple form and explains the whys and why nots very well,
i would 100% recomend this for low stakes players like my self as it is a cheap way to have a great winning high stakes HUSNG veterain to plug certain leaks in your game to help you on your way to being a winning player!
thanks again and i look forward to making a leakfinding video for you to look over soon!

I sent to Ryan one hh of a hu2€ in played on ".fr". Ryan gave me back a reel nice review with lot of concepts, and pertinents point of views. Sure this review will be not the only one. He's open to discuss after. French guys (and other !) don't hesitate if you want value your game and profits !
Thx !

Few days ago, I received leakfinder from Rypac13 (owner of husng.com) where he reviewed and analysed my game in $11.75 4-man shootout finale match I had played on FTP.

He identified a quite big leak in my game, let's describe it as "feeding pots in wrong spots", and he explained what I'm doing wrong, why it is wrong, and what should I do to play better in those spots.

This advice has proven as very very useful for me, and even this one single change caused a dramatic improvement in my game. Now, I'm putting myself into much fewer tough unnecessary spots, and the games seem easier to handle for me now.

In the 41 games I played on the $11.5/$11.75 level since watching the video I reached ROI of 63% resulting in profit of $298. I know the sample is small and that luck is involved too. For me the monetary and ROI-related aspects are actually not that important now. They are mentioned here just to demonstrate what the "economical" impact from plugging single leak in case of lame player like me can be.

At this moment, for me the greatest benefit from plugging the leak is that I finally have the feeling that I'm in control of the match far more often, can enjoy the game, and that I win, because I have some edge on my opponents!!!

I really have to recommend to the struggling (not only low stakes) players investing some dollars into this type of coaching. From my experience there is a big difference to watch videos (e.g. from husng.com) where the pros play their matches and watching/listening to someone reviewing situations where your own thought processes were involved.

So Ryan, thank you very much for helping me with improving my game !!!

P.S. If some of the thoughts presented in my post seem too obvious to the more experienced players contributing to this forum, please excuse me. I'm just too excited about the recent improvements, and wanted to share it with the world.

I sent Ryan a fairly short HH just to get a sense of my game and how i'm doing, and also get a sense of what I can expect from him.

I was very pleased with the whole thing and will definitely be doing another review in the future. He returned my HH within an hour with a lot of good feedback. It wasn't a super long match by any means, but I was very pleased with what Ryan had to say and he definitely gave me things to work on and think about.

Highly recommended, looking forward to doing more reviews in the future.

Ryan reviewed 4 HH for me recently and I am currently on an 11 match husng unbeaten run! coincidence? possibly, but unlikely as I have never acheived such a run in the past, my previous best being 6...the run hasn't ended yet either lol

Hey guys, Rypac just completed a video leakfinder for me at the $30 level and I just thought I'd take this chance to recommend him. In my opinion he's a natural teacher and that is one of the main reasons I decided to go with him coupled with his skill and knowledge. I really feel like he's not just rushing these leakfinders out the door, but gives a lot of genuine thought and care into reviewing and improving your game and offers some great knowledgable insights. I would think he's perfect for anyone who wants to make a genuine effort to improve. Anyway give him a go, highly recommend!!

cool, i watched some of his videos on husng and he seems to be a very competent player in both, turbos and reg speeds

hey chicagoRY,

don't play husng's and am just browsing the coaching forums but would just like to say i have a lot of respect for how you carry yourself on these forums, you always seem to be helping someone for free and always seem genuine.

your one of the better ones,GL.

Thanks guys.

I will update details soon, since the OP is pretty old. I've been really busy though, so maybe not until later this month or early December, I haven't entirely decided what I should change up.

Replied in your thread.

I would suggest utilizing free material for now, then looking at low pay options.

If you decide I'm the coach for you, I would strongly consider just doing a hand history review every once in awhile, until you're at least winning and moving up a few levels. Spending a lot of money on a coach at the $5 hypers is not something I would recommend to most (if you're in a situation where you're playing 30 hours a week, have money to spend and your goal is to learn as fast as you possibly can, then I would call you an exception to that advice).

But I'd recommend starting with free material, moving into lower priced solid material then jumping into more medium-high end training (coaching, videos, etc.) to supplement focused volume at the tables.

Take advantage of the heads up sng forum here on 2p2 too, it's excellent.

Do u have skype? ty.
02-15-2012 , 03:02 PM
Hello Ryan, do you also coach hyper turbos? How much experience do you have with those?

Thx
02-15-2012 , 03:38 PM
Hi, I do, but mainly lower stakes.

I don't have a ton of experience in them, between 4k and 5k games, mostly at $200s and $300s when they were introduced on FTP. But I've always been working on short stack skills, even in the old HUSNG turbo structure (I wrote an article on 25-50 blinds years ago for the heads up sng forum, and introduced what I think was the first video about end game heads up sngs back in late 2009 or early 2010).

However, I do have some recent, free hyper turbo leakfinders available for you to check out, to give you an exact idea of the experience of hyper turbo coaching with me. Here are four videos from last fall, let me know if you have any specific questions about them, I'm happy to answer (free to download videos, you have to register to download though I believe.. if you can't or don't want to register just PM or email me and I can personally send these videos to you).

Also, I'll have an updated OP soon, it's been 1-2 years since I updated, so that is long overdue.

Hey thanks Ryan, I´ll download them right now and I´m already a member so don´t worry. I bought chadder´s video pack and had good results at the 15´s, but moved up and hit a horrible downswing.

Since I´m new to HUSNGs I really don´t know if I´m spewing like a monkey or experiencing the worse side of variance, so the idea is to have someone with experience tell me if I suck or what.
